This experiment aims to test whether individuals have any significant difference in recollecting the length of digits, letters, and words. The study found that the average length of digits that can be recalled is significantly higher than the average length of letters and words. The short term memory span can consist of 7 items on average. The independent variable is the type of list, and the dependent variable is the length of the last list that was correctly recalled. The null and alternative hypotheses are framed accordingly. The study was conducted on 150 students from the University. The material used was a computer monitor, and the results were collected with the help of paper and pencil. Multiple trials were conducted for each participant, and the results were analyzed using ANOVA. The study found that there are significant differences in the length of recollection of different types of lists.
