1) Response to the first question:
Informed consent in mental health such as provides individuals the adequate amount of
information regarding particular mental health issues so that individuals can take logical decision
regarding specific mental health issues.
Information such as essential risk factors about particular health issues, consequences of
operating problems and few protocols of operating issues shared with individuals.
According to laws of federal regulations of mental health, personal information about
patient’s mental illness such as depression should not be shared with individuals and in
particular, cases if shared then with the proper safeguard.
In case of informed consent in mental health, sometimes the patient is unable to permit due to
mental issues; in that case, it should be examined unlike other health services
(Grady, 2015)
2) Response to second question:
Current recordkeeping approaches that massively used are online record keeping and
using medical coding. In case of medical coding by using numeric digit histories and
epidemiology of particular mental illness can be obtained without revealing personal
information.
Steps to ensure the client access and pricy:
Use of password to open operating system
Backup of relevant data of patients
Use of antivirus in computer
Use of password protected email files (Hollis, et. al, 2015)
