INTRODUCTION Mentalhealthisthe stateof well-being whichincludestheindividualemotional, psychological and the social well-being. Mental health of higher education students affected most because they have manynegative thinking which affects their mental health. It also determines the one;s own capabilities, choice and stress. The mental health is most for the higher education student because they can able to take right decision and set goals for achieving the success in their carrier. Anxiety is the most common concern among the college students. There is also depression and relationship conflict among the young population. The most young population in UK is facing many difficulties. According the many research report, The most cases is due to their mental disorder which includes the suicidal case, eating disorder and depression. Disclosure is defined as the new information and data. Suicide is leading the most common mental illness which can cause the death. The report indicates that students at the age between 15-26 is mostly affected by the mental disorder. The Engel model which helps in analysing the psychological and sociological factors of causing mental illness. Additionally, this essay covers the psychological and sociological factorsaffecting the disclosure and solution to improve the issues(Yang and et. al., 2018). MAIN BODY Psychologicalandsociologicalfactorswhichincludestheconcernofsocietyand structure of society while the psychological factors includes the mental state and well-being of individual. The academic working is also affect the mental sate of individual. Student can face the difficulties in their academic and professional carrier and they ready to make the suicide. There are three factors which includes protective psychological risk factors and resources which includes the social support and social networking. These psychological factor affects the most because student sometimes makes the wrong company which gives the negative effects on mental health. Due to their social networking and individual activities effectively on mental health. Mental disorder causes due the uncertain fear and anxiety which causes the mental health. The relationship between the psychological factor, health and behaviour reported in large population. Eating disorder is also social factor among the UK young population which can leads to cause the mental illness(Zhu and et. al.,2022).Alcohol intake and smoking can cause the health issues. The consumption of unhealthy food can also the factor of causing the mental health 1
issues. Physical activity occurs the various disorder in health which includes obesity. Debates and depression. Self stigma is the negative beliefs, people with mental illness can face the mental stigma because of the negative thoughts towards the mental health condition. The mental health of university student is the matter of concern in UK because student seeking with mental illness due to the academic and carrier pressure(Mishna and et .al., 2018).Young population facing depression and moderate stress, over the time these factors causes the mental health condition at decline stage. There are many strategies to cope up with the stigma and negative thoughts. Stigmaisa socialcreation,peoplewith mentalillnesssuffersfrom selfefficacy.The psychological factors are trauma, long term stress and loneliness. Trauma directly causes the mental illness which includes sleep disorder, focused on flashbacks, depression and it is difficult to identify the problems are being caused by the trauma. Long term stress may increases the risk of mental health, weight gain, cardiovascular diseases these factors are most frequently analysed in the higher education. The most common psychological factor among the students is loneliness which increases the risk of mental health issues. Three factors sociologicalwhich affects the disclosure,Thedecisionofdisclosurecanaffectthesocialinteraction,physicaland psychological well-being. Student alsoaffected by the public stigma and self stigma. Non disclosure can protect from discrimination and stigma which is more difficult for the university student to analysing the social support. Possible significanceof disclosure and intensify quality of life and better recovery(Stergiopoulos, Fernando and Martimianakis, 2018). As per the view of Regina Winzer, Lene Lindberg, karin Guldbrandsson and Anna Sidorchuk(2018), University student faces with various mental health issues which includes symptoms of depression, anxiety and stresswhich associated with their academic performance and achievements. Mental health issuesin higher education students is the public issue in the UK. Due to the lack of knowledge students can face many challenges and they did not overcome with their difficulties. Recent studies shows that student health raise concern over high rates of mental illness. Lack of knowledge students faces many difficulties which can causes the high riskofmentaldisorder.Loweducationsystemassociatedwithmanypsychologicaland sociological factor which affects their personal life and behaviour. There is direct relationship between the education and depressive symptoms. Higher education students having stigma of fear which can leads to cause the discrimination, stigma is all about to the negative beliefsand attitude towards the people cause the mental illness. These factors causes the fear and stigma among the graduates students. Lack of awareness about the mental health issues cause the poor mental health. Mental health awareness reduce the risk of causing thedisorder of mental health(Greig, MacKay and Ginter, 2019).Poor mental health causes the trauma, anxiety and depression. Student are involved in their own activities and they are not aware about their health issues whichleads to cause the many health issues with the students. Students faces many complexities in their life and they do not disclose their problems with family members and other person because they thinking the negative thoughts about the judging and annoying comments from the society. Students having the fear of disclosing about their mental health because of stigma fear of their society judgement which can cause the mental health issues and increases the suicidal cases. These factors stop students to disclose about their problems with the other person. Graduate students can faces the discrimination at their academics and their professional career because of their gender, caste andcolour. Discrimination affects the students mental health which can leads to causes and create the distraction in their life. Students never overcome with these problem, when they did not change their negative thoughts(Ricciardelli and et. al., 2020). These are the major problems among the UK students, social and psychological factors also 3
affects the individual student mental health. Due to the society judgement students are unable to disclose about their mental health because their friends are mocking and judging about their personality and efficacy. These factors can effects the student mental and physical health. There are many strategies and methods provides by the universityto the studentsby which they overcome with their mental health issues(Kim and Kim, 2021).Student professor provides the better suggestion of meditation by which students can feel flexible and relaxedandimproves their mental health issues. Socialization is also the best treatment by which students can overcome with the difficulties. To make the healthierrelationship with the family and other person can makes you more happierand stable. College provides the various methods and strategies which ca help students to cope up with their stress and diseases. The university provides the best methods and support students to overcome with the diseases. Professor supports students and makes good relationship with them by which they can easily share their problems and overcome with problems easily(O'Neill, 2018). University provides many physical activities by whichthey stay physical active and aware about their heath. Professors provides the relevant information and provides supports by spreading awareness among the students to take care of their mental health. Self awareness reduced the risk of metal illness because student can aware about their health then they will not easilyi8nvolve in negative thoughts. Students can easily analysis the symptoms of mental health illness andmore aware about their health issues. Staying positive is very important for the students which reduces the cause of many health issues and disorders. Staying happy is the action and response towards the difficulties and problems by which they can easily face the challengers. Practising gratitude which means the student should have to think positive and avoid the negativity from the mind(Follmer, Sabat and Siuta, 2020). Many students does not take advantages of the strategies and methods because of their stigma of fear and societal judgement they would not easily to connect and takes the advantage of overcoming the mental health issues. University and college provides the effective support to the student which is useful for the young population. Eating healthy and avoid the consumption of alcohol, drug and smoking which can helps in overcoming with the stress and anxiety. Self awareness protects the student from causing the mental stress and trauma(Trepte, Scharkow and Dienlin, 2020). 4
These factors are more beneficial for the students because awareness helps in determining the symptoms of mental stress. In UK, there is the most important concern of the mental health issues among the college students. As per the article, data shows that there is most cases of suicidal attempts of the young population. University additionally, provides the support to the students who are mentally ill and gives them relevant knowledge about the mental health and health issues(Beretta, Demartini and Trucco,2018).Thesemethodscan helps students totake self care and analysing the symptoms which reduces the risk of mental illness. Many students can overcome with their mental illnessbut some of them did not take the advantages and acquiring the methods because of their fear. University offers more supports to the students, which leads to cope up with their problems. CONCLUSION From the above discussion, it is concluded that mental health is the overall condition of the human being, there are various psychological and sociological factors which effects the mental health and physical of students. The most raising concern among the UK students sis the mental health issues. Due to the lack ofknowledge, fear and awareness student become very weak and unstable whi8ch dis-balance their mental health. They have fear of the soceitial judgement and also faces discrimination at workplace andin their professional career. Lack of awareness causes the many issues because students are involved in negative activities which are harmful of their health. University provides the support to overcome with the problems. There are various strategies and methods provided for the students by which they can analysis and reduce the risk of mental health among the young population of UK. Professors of university enhance the knowledge and self awareness among the students. These methods are effective and beneficial for the higher education students to cope up with their mental stress. 5
