Introduction
Mental health is vital for human survival. Human beings have to engage in a lot of
activities in their daily lives. This requires them to exert their physical strength to the maximum.
However, it is the will power of the individuals which allows them to work so hard. This will
power depends on the mental stability of the person concerned (Abuse and Administration 2016).
This concept of mental health depends on a lot of factors. The purpose of this report is to look in
to the various factors influencing the condition of mental health in a person.
Legal and ethical considerations to ensure mental health
Codes of Practice
The stability of mental health of a person is only possible in an environment of rules and
regulations which are adhered to by everyone in the vicinity. The codes of practice needs to be
followed diligently.
Discrimination
Care must be taken to ensure that no discrimination is done amongst the same individuals
in the same circumstances.
Dignity of Risk
Individuals should be allowed to undertake activities by themselves instead of someone
else doing the work for them (Worden 2018).
Duty of Care
Individuals have the ethical consideration of taking care of the people who are suffering
from mental instability.

An organization has the obligation to ensure that the human rights of the people are not
encroached upon and that they are guaranteed to all without discrimination.
Mandatory Reporting
It is essential that the organization should report all the incidents occurring within its

It Is the legal consideration of the individuals have to follow all the standards of the
organization efficiently.
Privacy, Confidentiality and Disclosure
The information provided by the individuals in a workplace should not be revealed under
any circumstances.
Policy Framework
The policies of the organization needs to be followed diligently (Lanata et al. 2015).
Records Management
The records of the people should be maintained by the office but they should not be
disclosed without prior permission.
Rights and Responsibilities of workers, employers and individuals accessing the
service
The individuals in a workplace have several rights and responsibilities such as meeting
the objectives of the organization.

The recovery of a person suffering from mental instability needs to be consistent and
patient friendly. This was seen in the case when I was suffering from depression and had to
consult a health professional to help me overcome the problem.

Since historical times people have been affected by mental illness because of which
several importance health initiatives were launched to solve the issue (Townsend and Morgan
2017). It evolved with the deterrence to the abusers in the society and a threat to punish them.

counselling
The techniques of communication includes that of training session and holding
impersonal talks with the concerned individual.
Reflective practice and its role in underpinning ongoing learning, growth and
good practice
Learning and practice helps in the personal growth of a human being. A person should try
to self-reflect and see what the various shortcomings in the behavior are (Townsend and Morgan
2017).
Conclusion
In conclusion it is observed that if the mental health of a person is favorable to the
individual then he or she will be able to undertake any work which is assigned. This necessitates
the importance of mental health of an individual.
