situation, this individual becomes responsible for creating bad effects in society or
in his family due to his bad behaviour towards them. Individuals suffering from
mental health disorders also encounter social discrimination, negligence and
emotional turbulence. He tends to isolate himself from his family and Society. As
per the World Health Organization’s recommendation, from 2017 onwards 10th
October is celebrated as International World Mental Health Day every year around
the globe. Along with the whole year, this particular day is celebrated in spreading
awareness, inspiration, and education regarding sound mental health and also
preventing poor mental health conditions. All the renowned entities and profound
bodies are requested to invest in creating sound mental health throughout the
world. People are requested to extend their helping hands to their near and dear
ones in creating a world free from mental health disorders. The implementation
and incorporation of good thinking, stress-free life, no-more-loneliness and fear-
free life happen particularly on this day and also throughout the whole year.
Reduction in ill practices like social discrimination, physical harassment, mental
harassment, bullying each other etc. are also essential to create a sustainable good
mental health persistent society. Each of the aforementioned objectives needs to be
believed in and practised thoroughly to create something good for all. In the
international forum, all the countries are requested to participate and work towards
the creation of a world where no mental disorder exists (Cook 2019).
The role of government and non-government agencies in coping up with mental
health in Australia
According to Awaworyi et al. (2019), the Australian government comes with
various platforms where mental health services are provided for its citizens
irrespective of their caste, creed, gender and age. Critical Care, residential care,
mental rehabilitation care, special assistance care etc. are some of the services
provided by the Australian government. All of the above-stated services can be
availed free of cost in all the public-funded centers. The Australian government
also incorporated a 5-year mental health plan throughout the country. In order to
serve them better, they maintain a uniform mental health strategy in the country
with the help of medical practitioners and other consultants. In order to cope up
with various mental disorder-related issues, they come up with so many plans and

programs and try to implement them almost everywhere. The Australian
government installs a safe work policy in the workplace to reduce unnecessary
workload from the employees and provide them with a safe and sound Workplace
(Papadopoulos and Maylea 2020). According to the Australian government mental
health report in 2017-2018, almost 9.9 billion dollars were spent on this issue and
more than 4 million People received mental health-related assistance (Rossell et al.
2021). With the help of the Australian government, the people of Australia started
implementing good mental health conditions in everyday life. The policy focuses
on the importance of developing and ensuring safe environments in the country for
the betterment of its citizens. Along with the government, there are other health
departments, non-government organizations and societies that work collectively in
order to penetrate good mental health into the minds of the people. The non-
government organizations are also working towards maintaining a mental disorder
free country. They offer free counselling to the patient, family, and community and
also provide assistance, mental health-related education, support and care when in
need.
The value of engaging the community in taking great mental health initiatives
There are various communities that are working tirelessly in creating an effective
impact in society regarding the mental health of every individual. Health
promotional campaigns happen in public places, schools, colleges, and restaurants.
There is a mental health literacy mission that works towards educating people
about mental health and how one takes care of it. There is a society in South
Australia that specifically works with the prevention of suicidal attempts due to
mental health disorders. Headspace is a program that provides sound knowledge
regarding mental health and the overall wellness of human beings in Australia
(Van et al. 2020). Many NGOs conduct campaigns in primary schools and
secondary schools. Orygen is the national centre of excellence to prevent
Australian youth from any sort of bad influences and helps them maintain sound
mental health by giving free assistance. All of the above programs, campaigns,

A mental disorder is nothing but a complexity of the mind that prevents the human
to work, think and act normally. It creates some sort of anxiety, stress vulnerability
and emotional outburst at any point in time. Basically, the individual loses control
over his own emotions (Newby et al. 2020). Due to high expectations from life
impairment persistence except mental disorder happens. With proper medication,
this too can be eradicated but it can be dangerous if not adopted proper assistance.
In Australia, these mental disorders are almost everywhere. The Youth Society of
Australia is the main sufferer of these mental disorders due to their reckless
lifestyle. Many awareness programs and campaigning seminars are conducted from
time to time in order to educate people about the importance of Mental Health.
Mental illness refers to the state where a person is diagnosed as unfit for
performing regular duties (Morgan et al. 2018). In order to make them capable of
reciprocating properly on a cognitive, social and emotional level, proper assistance
is much needed. In today's world mental health has become the topmost priority
and the whole world has been doing its best to provide an environment where
every other individual can be able to live with proper mental health conditions.
Conclusion
From the above-detailed discussion, it can be concluded that people who are
suffering from mental illness cannot be able to communicate properly with their
family and with society in a broader sense. They cannot think of performing and
contributing their best and as a result, feel suffocated, stressed, anxious and
vulnerable. As the number of this kind of person is increasing by leaps and bounds,
the adoption of various health and mental health strategies should be increased in
order to cater for the problem. As the Australian government, there are many
government and non-government organizations that have started taking care of this
illness and saving the lives of sufferers. By celebrating International Mental Health
Day, some awareness and education regarding mental health have been spreading
throughout the globe. With successful implementation and Incorporation of mental
health awareness, this mental health disorder can definitely be lessened in huge
