INTRODUCTIONThis reflective essay is based on the mental health in nursing as being the student inthe healthcare sector and soon will be becoming the healthcare practitioner. There are somearea on which I'm very good at and some area where I need to have some more development.These all development need to be there within the first year of my programme so that I caneasily work in the future year of my journey. The mental healthcare sector at present is thefastest growing sector of any economy of world and is contributing in the economicdevelopment as well. MAIN BODY Mental healthcare sector is very sensitive sector as this always requires a wellqualified and trained skilled worker in the field which will be handling the patients in a verygood and efficient manner. If the person like me who will be starting my career as thepractitioner in the mental healthcare sector so I will be requiring to list out my weaknessesand my strengths so that I could easily overcome the weaknesses and make the actions planaccording to them all (DeCoux, 2016). This will be aiming to highlighting the physical andemotional conditions of the patients and their family while their treatment process. The roleof the healthcare practitioner in the development and the brining above the patient is veryimportant and the expectations from them are also very high.It will be important for me to determine all the type of weak which are there in meand then making the action plan so that I can over come those. There are four types of style oflearning which need to be analysed which are activists, reflectors, theorist and pragmatist.Activists are those who are always preferring to learn through the trail and error method.Reflectors are those who mainly aim to go thoroughly on the brief and then proceed.Theorists are those who would always want to get the assurance that the project which theyare doing will be making some sense. Pragmatist are those who always want to demonstratefrom the acknowledged expert and then start their work. So some weaknesses and strengthwhich I will be having and then will be making the action plan to overcome thoseweaknesses. Like I as a mental healthcare practitioner often act without consideration of thepossible outcome of the situations which will be making me the pragmatists. This will berequiring me to learn from my superior. As a mental healthcare practitioner I always tent topjudge the idea of people on their practical merits which shows that I will never be able to1
