INTRODUCTION
Mental health is demonstrated as cognitive behavioral as well as emotional well –being, this is
all about how group of people behave, thinks and feel. Mental health this term means absence of
mental disorder. Mental health could affect physical health, daily living and relationship. The users of
mental health service they review their planning care which could help in personalized care which are
associated with the focused on recovery, along with the aim of enhancing specific goals of individuals
and in addition they have been designed in order to maximize social integration and achievements.
Nursing practice is demonstrated as care of patients suffering from any metal health or illness.
Case study
Kate she is a 27 years old, she had worked in retail industry in a fashion or clothing shop for
probably 9years but in which store she used to work due to the reason of closing down, she lost her job,
Recently she was referred to the inpatient unit by her grandparents. Kate she has been living with her
sister veronica. Her father died in an accident 6 months ago and she did not see him 1.5 years and she
regret for that, why didn't she meet and why they were not closed. When kate lost her father she is
used to cry and isolate herself, someway she was facing depression. When kate lost her job thus they
decided that veronica would do part time job and kate would look after Jamie who is the son of
veronica. (Pisciotta, Denneson,and et. al., (2019)).
MAIN BODY
Presenting complaint
The statement of Kate shows that she was upset and sad all the time along with this somewhere she
also had regret why didn't she help her sister, and all these sadness were underlying depression.
Current life stressors reported by the kate include;
There are several stresses which kate is going through, kate is having a guilt that she didn't see her
father. And she couldn't help her sister. Kate mother had a cancer surgery in-fact she has been
recovered still kate is fearful, and this statement was given by the kate .Therefore due to all these
reasons she was in trauma and depression this was leading to the poor mental health,bipolar disorder.
In the inpatient unit by the nursing practitioners all these issues were recorded. This phase mainly
focuses on the diagnosis of mental illness. Psychiatric medication are provided in the inpatient unit.
There is main goal of nursing are to help patients going through mental illness, as well as encourages
recovery bring them back to life in this way nursing were providing treatment and giving medication at
different interval of time.
History of present problem
Kate given the statement that she is not able to sleep, whole day she stays upset and having
mood swings, intense crying whole night, she self isolated herself, anxiety, having elevated mood , she
