REFLECTIVE REPORT
Reflection on strength assessment report
Reflective practice is defined as the approach to learn from the past experience and
actions so that valuable findings can be used to improve the future actions (Erickson, 2018). In
the presentation and group working I came to learn a vast range of skills from others as well as
through self evaluation. For instance the participation taught me various skills such as technical
skills, team work, communication, problems solving and designing skills. At the same time it
also made me realize that I must evaluate outcomes of strength assessment for achieving my
future goals.
For the professional development it is required for an individual to have complete
awareness about their strengths and weakness (Sweet, 2019). The strength assessment report has
proven to be highly beneficial for me as it helped me to gain insight of self evaluation. Working
in group has been a great experience for me as I was expected to collaborate with other team
members and to demonstrate my presentation skills. During group task and presentation I was
quite nervous. Though I was being able to manage all resources and team members effectively
but when it came to public speaking I used to become quite nervous. However when I evaluated
the results of strength assessment report I was quite surprised that certain skills are my strength
which I never used to realise. For instance I have not been good designer, however while
working in excel and power point I realised that I am compatible with other team members.
My technical skills were good enough. Thus self assessment has provided me a better
clarity of my strength and drawbacks so that I can improve them for future growth. In my
opinion one of the most beneficial aspect of results is that it gave me valuable clarity of variety
of skills in accordance with my current role. For instance since I am not much efficient in
designing and adaptability skills I always avoid any efforts to improve them. However through
the assessment I came to know that it is one of my underdeveloped skill which I must develop
for my growth.
Contrary to this there were several skills which I was paying much attention but they are
classified as untapped strengths of mine. For instance since I am weak in designing I was paying
much improvement to creativity and innovation skills along with project management skills and
working in uncertainty. However now as I have known that these are not much significant for my
existing role I can shift my efforts and time to other weakness area. When I was working in
