Assessment 2: Reflective Account
Introduction
Reflection is consider to be crucial factor that each student must consider in order to
enhance their expertise in particular thing by reflecting over the experience and getting idea
about the strength and weaknesses. It is all about a written description regarding the set of action
taken by an individual within a situation and lesson learned from them. Addition to this it also
contains an information regarding what went right and what things get wrong which in turn help
in creating a learning experience (Tsybulsky and Muchnik-Rozanov, 2019). This report consists
of two part where part one involves a poster presentation about the proposal of a research to be
conducted in near future and part second is about a reflective account which involve the overall
experience that I gain throughout preparing poster presentation. With the help of this I would be
able to evaluate about the actions performed by me throughout the assignment which in turn also
allow me to identify the strength and weakness that I have and which I required to improve for
enhancing my future course of actions.

Own reflection on performing research
This module brings up a greater experience as I become able to develop my understanding
about several things and also be able to enhance my skills throughout the module. During this
module tutor assigned all of us for creating a proposal and presenting it with the help of poster
presentation which was a group task. For this assignment I was very much excited and nervous at
the same time as at that period I was not having any idea about how to prepare it but at that time
I know very well that I would be able to learn many things through this task. Then tutors
assigned with a group that was very supportive who motivated me to perform this task
effectively. The topic over which I required to prepare a poster presentation was 'A Study of
Brand loyalty and its effect on buying behaviour of selected cosmetic product in UK'. The main
purpose behind conducting this study is to develop an understanding about the importance of
brand loyalty to a cosmetic company and the impact that it brings to the purchasing behaviour of
customer (Whalen and Paez, 2020).

In order to perform this investigation I firstly required to access several sources through
which information regarding this area can be gathered. So as per the guidance of my tutor I
performed online study of several scholarly papers where the information about this topic was
presented to develop my understanding about the nature of study. so that I can perform my work
in right direction. While performing this task of gathering information I realise that my
researcher skill is not much good which is making this process more difficult and time
consuming to me. As I was finding it very much difficult to extract most effective data as per the
requirement of topic and information which is more reliable and valid as everything was seems
important to me from the view point of my topic. Then my team mates support me in this and
suggest me how to select the authenticated sources. So by keeping those point of judging the
right source such as last 10 year data, well known publication name etc. I started collecting
information. Despite of this, as it was a group work so we have to regularly communicate with
team mates for having a discussion regarding the set of actions already taken, the progress of
work and what further action need to be taken to complete the assignment effectively (Lubis,
Irwanto and Harahap, 2019). So, throughout all this I came to know that my communication
skills are good which support in expressing my view effectively and at the same time help me a
lot in forming up better relationship with my team mates which in turn furthers support me in
getting support from them in return. This will support me in future by performing my work
effectively with other people by maintain good relation with them.
Despite of this I also found that my team working skills are moderate which also influence
the work of mine sometimes, but as the team assigned to me was great, I found less difficulties in
managing with them as they all are very much helpful. But as I consider it for the future work I
am definitely need to improve my team working skills in order to prepare myself to work with
different kind of people. This development will support me in performing my future works
effectively and I would be able to create a constructive team with less disputes and also become
able to handle the situation effectively while maintaining with team. With the hep of this project
I learnt about the importance of team working and how it simplifies the work when it is done by
group of people in contrary to single individual.
Despite of this if I talk about new learning then with the help of this project, I become able
to develop my understanding regarding the brand loyalty and its importance to a brand. Addition
to this I also become able to develop my understanding regarding the ways through which the

customer buying behaviour get affected by the brand loyalty (Scott, Humphries and Henri,
2019). Other than if I talk about my personal learning so I become able to develop my IT skills
as I learn how to prepare a poster presentation, tools that can be used to make a poster
presentation more attractive etc. Addition to this I also get understanding about ways to avoid
plagiarism within a report, providing references to authenticate the work etc. these all will
support me in improving my future work. Other than this I came to know about weaknesses of
mine over which I have to work for improving myself.
To improve my researcher skills, I decided to take online tutorials to learn about several tips
and tricks to be consider for performing n investigation effectively. I will also discuss my
learning with my friends and tutors so that I get better guidance for developing my skills. Other
than this for enhancing my team working skills I decided to take suggestions from my tutor about
this and I will join group task within several activities performed in campus. Addition to this I
also decided to go with group study which help me in enhancing my team working skills by
managing with smaller disputes that get arise among friends while working together.
Conclusion
From the above presented reflection it can be summarised that reflective practice proves
helpful to me as I become able to perform my personal evaluation with the help of this project
and learnt about my strength and weaknesses. This supported me in determine the area of
improvement which remain helpful to my personal and professional development. By improving
these skills, I would be able to provide a better performance for my future task which help in
getting good grades. Other than this it will also remain helpful to me in preparing me for the
future job role which require an individual to be good at interpersonal skills.
