1.0 Apprentice Challenge
1.1 Introduction
If a brand needs to launch a new product then the brand has to focus on the various apprentice
challenges. These challenges include the logo, brand, marketing, advertisement and quality of the
product. For producing the product efficiently the company has to focus that the make a strategy
keeping in mind these apprentice challenges. These challenges provide the company with
following information –
What could be the appropriate marketing plan?
What innovation can be done?
Who are the main competitors in the market?
1.2 Main Challenges
There are many challenges that a company face and thus the company has to focus on these
challenges. Some of the challenges that are faced by the company are –
The primary challenge that is faced by the company is forming a team for hiring. It is the
challenge for the top management of the company to choose an efficient member that will
hire the skilled labor so that the company can produce and market the product in an
effective manner.
Another challenge that is faced by the company is to make a strategy for growth and
goodwill in the market that will help them to sustain in the market for a longer time and
help them compete with the competitors in the market (Björkman, 2016).
The company has to analyze the marketing trends and customer behavior so that they are
able to know the customer demands and thus they will be able to adjust their supplies
accordingly.
1.3 Skills Demonstrated
Communication skill - I was able to demonstrate the communication skill effectively. This skill
helped me to identify the challenges related to the business and discuss this with my team
members.

Teamwork – there was an efficient teamwork in my team. My team showed initiative and they
were very participative and thus we were able to complete our apprentice challenge project.
Time management – this was the skill that I was able to fulfill effectively. I divided the work
among my team members and thus we were able to manage the time effectively and complete the
assessment on scheduled time.
Business skills – the main competency I was able to develop was my efficiency in research of
market trends. To complete the assessment I had to know the challenges that a business face and
to do this I had to research the marketing trends. Thus I was able to develop my competency of
research.

2.0 Presentation challenge
2.1 Introduction
The main reason to discuss the challenges of the presentation is because I want to find the
challenges that I face during the presentation and how can I improve upon the challenges. There
was a presentation that was given by me and my team. The topic of the presentation wasTESCO. The main purpose of this section is to analyze the challenges and performance of mine
and my team members. The main aim of my team in for this presentation was to score the best
marks.
2.2 Main Challenges
The main challenges that were faced by me and my team while giving the presentation are as
follows –
The main challenge that we faced was the gap in the thought process of team members.
During the presentation I found that the team was explain their thoughts that were
contradicting the thoughts of other team members. They must have acknowledged the
thoughts of other team members as well.
Another challenge that I think we faced was the lack of confidence. During the
presentation one of the team members was hesitant to speak in front of others. Thus the
flow of presentation was breaking.
There was a lack of coordination between the team members.
2.3 Skills Demonstrated
Communication Skill – I learnt that it is a crucial skill that helps us to express our thoughts,
opinions and information. I was able to demonstrate all these effetely.
Team Work – the team worked well with proper coordination. There were some challenges apart
from the team performed exceptionally. I was also able to demonstrate good initiatives and
became a key team player.
Time management – the work was divided between the team members and everyone was able
to deliver the assigned work on time. Thus the time management was done efficiently.

Business skills - I learnt about the major business roles that are essential to understand the
business of Tesco. The roles and responsibility that I learnt gave me some skills that can be
implemented in my academic lifestyle (Metallo et. al., 2018).

3.0 T-shirt Challenge
3.1 Introduction
The major aim of this section is to provide with the challenges that has been faced by me while I
was doing the T-shirt Challenge. During the T-Shirt challenge the business has to focus on the
quality, price and the production of the T-Shirts.
3.2 Main Challenges
The main challenges that are faced by me during this assessment are as follows –
The major challenge that was faced by me was the analysis of the market trends related to
the supply of the T-Shirts. It was very challenging for me to find the facts and data that
could help in my research.
Another challenge that I faced was with the logo designing. It was mandatory for me that
I should choose an appropriate logo that will go properly with my t-shirt.
I found it very difficult to compete with my peers. We all were doing the advertisement
for the same challenge and thus I was facing difficulty in advertising my T-shirt.
3.3 Skills Demonstrated
Communication Skill – I was able to show communication skill effectively when I had to
advertise my t-shirt in the campus. I was able to demonstrate my product and thus I was able to
make some sales.
Team work – team work was done properly in this challenge. The whole task was divided into
various small activities like logo designing, standardizing quality etc. all the team members was
able to demonstrate excellent team work skill.
Time management –the whole task was divided into various parts as mentioned in the point
above. Thus the team was able to perform the activities efficiently and in the given time frame.
This made it very easy for the team to get the t-shirt ready on time with an appropriate marketing
strategy.

Business skill – the business skill that I was able to use was the presentation skill. I was chosen
to advertise the t-shirt in the campus. Thus I had to enhance my oral presentation skills so that I
am able to properly advertise the product and give the consumers a good idea about the product.
