The activity was named as Ethics, Empathy and Analysis in Design
Research. It focussed on the analysis and understanding of the varied
types of research methods and the recorded amount of success that
has been achieved from each over time. Group interviews accorded
the maximum amount of importance.

Thoughts and Feelings DURING the activity:
During this activity, I was able to know a great deal about the varied research methodologies and
the way they work in different situations. I also understood the need for following the ethical code
of conduct and empathy towards the participants. It was important to note that the perceptions
and thought process of the interviewer must not interfere in the answers received from the
participants. I was surprised to note a great deal about the varied research processes.
Thoughts and Feelings AFTER the activity:
After the activity, I found it important to know more about the research methods and how former
researchers have used the same to their advantage. I found that if the research methods are
applied effectively and efficiently, they carry the ability to find answers to research questions in a
more concrete manner. I reviewed a number of academic journals and articles that helped me
reflect on diverse scenarios and make suitable conclusions for my own learning.
What can you learn from this activity?
I learnt a great deal about the different research methods and the best practices to chose the right
research method in a particular given situation.
What can you do to develop yourself further in the context of this activity?
To develop myself further in this context, I would continue on my spree to research and read as
many academic works as possible to know about the best-case scenarios.
