The intention of the article is provide contribution towards the

the authors emphasized upon the findings for the policy makers in
order to interpret the fact that how the promotion of innovation and
exports in science-based firms takes place.

hypothesis for the large and small firms in relation to specific

the samples of about 121 firms existing within the French
biotechnology industry and in such process; it was found that, the
size of the firm does not play a significant role in determining the

contribution of better relationship which is in existence between the
export intensity, innovation and the size of the firms. In this regard,
the purpose of the article is to emphasize upon different traditional
International theories which may not be appropriate for addressing
the issued faced on the part of the firms existing in a science-based
industry.

In order to carry out the research work, the authors relied upon the
process of single industry analysis however; it has also taken into
consideration the benefits of homogeneous technological setting. It
is worthwhile to refer here that, the authors also relied upon the
perspectives of other authors as well. Other evidences were
associated with the evaluation of different technological features.
The authors have also used the basic model which provided
appropriate evidence regarding the existence of positive and
significant link between the concepts of innovation and export
intensity in case of biotechnology firms. However, the
psychometric properties regarding the Innovation Outcome
measurement scale were evidenced with the help of Cranach’s
alpha coefficient and composite reliability.
Limits:

Various limitations were associated with the research which is
strictly related to study. The major limitation was time because
cross-sectional research required a lot of time which cannot be
completed within a stipulated time period. Limitations in this study
is also associated with the fact that, the conditions and the short
time span in which the research was conducted and the data was
collected will be significantly worthy however; no guarantee can be
provided regarding its accuracy. Another limitation of the research
was that the determination of export intensity with the help of

innovation and other factors which were not included into the
evaluation process because the dependent variable was not
thoroughly explained by the research model.
Point of View:

According to the perspective of the authors, with the advent of
globalization, enterprises can no longer exist by depending upon the
facts that they would not be affected by the wave of international
competition. In this regard, it is noteworthy to mention here that,
the investigation of various elements has been proceeded with for
the purpose of emphasizing upon the existing internal and external
forces and their impact upon the determination of the export
performance of the firms.

In this article, it can be observed that the authors emphasized
their ideas in their own words which were clear and concise
and any kind of uncertainty has been avoided to the highest
priority. However, the authors relied upon the ideas and
literatures of different scholars as well in order to proceed with
the research article.

It is worth examining that, in the present research article, the
authors relied upon various journals based upon the concept of
international marketing, small business management and
product innovation management. After reviewing the article, it
can be emphasized that the authors rightly addressed to the
areas of concern by relying upon the information provided by
the list of journals and research papers.
Conclusion:

In the conclusion, the authors emphasized upon the fact that the
research method was carried out keeping in view single
industry analysis and as a result of such extensive research; it
largely benefitted the firms by way of homogeneous
technological setting. However, much focus has been laid on
the fact that, the conclusions involving single industry analysis
needs to be considered within the cautionary standards.

Implications:

From the very beginning, the research article emphasized upon
the existence of positive link between innovation and export
intensity. The research article has largely benefitted the large
and small business firms in identifying the relationship between
innovation, export intensity and the size of the firms. The end
results were satisfactory as it helped in pointing out the
existence of positive link between innovation and export
intensity. Furthermore, the research suggested that it is
important on the part of the biotechnology managers to carry
out extensively various tasks which large deals with the
development and protection of the key resources. Moreover,
government authorities should ensure protection of the
inventions of the biotechnology industry through the
application of patents and in such process it is important to
keep measures regarding the hiring of key R&D employees by
the other existing competitive firms.

Personal Reaction:

In my perspective, the article proved to be advantageous in
providing appropriate knowledge regarding the concept of
export intensity, innovation and the presence of small business
firms. The article created favorable impact upon the readers and
at the same time created a new agenda on the part of the policy
makers regarding the promotion of innovation and exports in
science-based industries.
Strength of Case:

From the beginning, the authors made sure that the readers
should develop an idea regarding different concepts of
innovation and export intensity. In this regard, it is worth noting
that, the authors made references to previous studies in order to
emphasize upon the similarities and differences between the
present and previous research subject. In such process, it can be
observed the present research created beneficial results in
developing hypothesis for technological firms.

It is noteworthy to mention here that, as compared to other
articles, the present article proved to be beneficial for the
readers in developing in-depth knowledge regarding the
concepts of innovation, export intensity and firm size. After
proper evaluation, it can be stated that, as compared to other
articles, the present article is more informative and precise and
throughout the article there was no point of discussion which
made the readers confused.

After evaluating the article in dept, it is worth mentioning the
fact that the article maintained its standards to the highest
priority. It was free from grammatical errors, formatting and
spelling mistakes. The quality of the article was such that it was
precise, unambiguous and certain.

Though the article provided appropriate information regarding
the concept of innovation, in some areas it failed to emphasize
upon the idea of transferring the activities of firm innovation to
the exports markets.
