various other tattoo parlors and the organization called the Australian Tattoo Artists Guild

will be of highest quality and most advanced available in the market (Dirks 2015). All this will
set the tattoo parlor apart from the rest.
TARGET MARKET
The main target market is comprised of men and women mainly between the age of 18 to
30 years. As it is already pointed out that 25% of the people in this age group according to a
research are already sporting tattoos, this already tattooed customers wants to explore for better
tattoos and of course there is also a whole new market of people who have not already inked
themselves but are interested to. This age group is tech savvy, indulgent, outgoing and
experimental. Digital platform is one of the best medium to reach this customer base.
CONSTRAINTS
The main resources required for this business include a store front to host the tattoo
parlor, interior decorations including good lighting, posters and designs, furniture, and most
importantly the tattoo making instruments of high quality. A computer and internet connection is
needed to show the designs to the customers and necessary registrations from the government to
start a tattoo business (Cbs.sa.gov.au 2018).

The time frame required to establish this business would be 2 months’ maximum within
which all the permissions can be received and the infrastructure can be set.
OUTCOMES
The short term goals include becoming a talking point among tattoo enthusiasts in the
area and the minimum number of customers pouring in daily which is required to sustain the
business and get back the investment.
The long term goal is to become an establish tattoo brand in the city with goodwill in the
market and becoming first preference for tattoo enthusiasts.
The achievements will be measured by creating a Gantt Chart which will be strictly
followed and whether the multiple short term objectives are achieved in the timeframe or not will
be monitored.
APPROVALS
The designs will be finalized only with written permission from the client himself or
herself. Only after the client has approved the design the artist will proceed with making the
tattoo. The tattoo parlor will also be a member of the Australian Tattoo Artists Guild, and all the
new designs created by the artist will be approved by the guild. Apart from that all the national
standards and standards of the Guild will be followed by the tattoo parlor.
