The term microteaching refers to a faculty development technique that includes educators
reviewing a teaching sessions for getting constructive feedback from their peers. As per my
opinion, the process of microteaching possess the potential to enhance the skill of the educators
to a great extent. When it comes to my process of sharing findings with my peers, I shared the
same e with the help of a power point presentation made by me. The topic of the article I worked
on was prevention of mental health illness of children. While creating the power point
presentation, my chief aim was to provide an in-depth understanding of the relationship between
psychological health issues and its determinants in children. While sharing my findings with my
peers, I noticed that majority of my peers are agreeing with the information delivered by me. A
brief discussion took place between me and one of my peers when I was sharing my findings
about how children suffering from physiological issues can be supported. She told me that it
would have been beneficial in case more in-depth discussion is performed on this specific issue.
Also, I have been told by 3 of my peers that I could have drafted the summary of the YouTube
video on prevention of mental health whose link has been shared by me. I agree to all the
constructive feedbacks given by me and will definitely implement the same in my next work.
Practical Implications for Early Childhood Educators
During my assignment, I have gathered several new lessons from my peers. Different
perspectives about the topic phycolgical issues in children, helped me to develop an effective
understanding of the impact of the issues in children and how we, as early childhood educators
can help the chidren to deal with the same.
