Define Microsoft Azure
It is an online portal and cloud computing platform which allows the user to manage and
access the resources and cloud services provided by Microsoft. These resources and services
including transforming and storing data, depending on the requirements. The one will need to
have the ability to connect and good internet connection to the Azure portal in order to access the
services and resources. It is free to start and it follows the model of pay per use which means that
one need to pay for the services only which the client opt for (Coutinho and et.al., 2020). Around
the world it has the number of data centres for any cloud platform with around 42 Azure centre
and now it is planning to increase the data centres to 54 shortly. It supports the multiple
programming languages including Node Js, Java and C#. It is also known as windows Azure and
helps to meet the organisational goals and manage the challenges faced by business. To use their
technologies and preferred tools it provides users or customers with the flexibilities. It helps to
implement and enhance backup and disaster recovery because of its advance site recovery,
flexibility and built in integration. As it can help to back up the data on any OS, almost in any
language and from any location.
It host and develop mobile apps and web and makes them adaptive and autonomous with
integration, AutoScale, patch management for on premise apps. By the help of automatic patch
management for the virtual machines it can focus on improving the apps and spend less time
managing the infrastructure. As it comes with continuous deployment support that allows to
streamline updates on an ongoing code. Microsoft Azure supplements and distribute active
directory to access and identify capabilities that gives DNS a centralised management, global
reach and robust security (Rajan, 2020). It enables to utilise adding new layer to security of
application and data, multi factor authentication for users with zero hassle.
The flexibility, security and scalability of Microsoft Azure makes the perfect resource for
organisations moving towards loT solutions. It helps to make the better business decisions,
reduce complexity, speed up development, improve customer experience and lower cost by
manage billions of devices, monitoring and gain insights. The huge asset for loT solutions is the
enhanced security of Azure. Other benefits include predictive maintenance, remote monitoring
and analytics. In order to meet the needs management tools like power shell, REST APIs, Azure

portal, bash. With the support for log analytics, backup, application monitor, patching and site
recovery it focus on application and not on infrastructure. For security and privacy Microsoft has
certification of industry leading (What is Microsoft Azure: How Does It Work and Services).
From the portal of Azure the one can manage, monitor and deploy resources in groups by using
the Azure Resource Manager. For the repetitive tasks an organisation can use Azure Command
Line Interface and Azure PowerShell. It can set up alerts to receive notifications of assign
automated actions and critical conditions based on user defined trigger to avoid surprises.
