Introduction
The business environment has become quite competitive in nature and in order to achieve
success it is very crucial for the business organization to adapt to the changes and requirements
of the external environment in order to ensure long term effectiveness. However, achieving long
term effectiveness is not easy and any organization in the business domain is often faced by
various problems and barriers in the process (Becerra-Fernandez and Sabherwal 2014). Hence, it
is the primary objective of the report to assess the situation of Mind Tree and identify the various
problems being faced by the organization. The report will also provide certain recommendations
so that the problem can be solved.
Recognition of the problems
As stated earlier, the different organizations are often faced by a large number of
problems with respect to the achievement of their problems and in this context the different
problems and issues being faced by Mind-tree are as follows:
Problem 1 : Emphasis on process: The procedures at the Mind Tree are largely stressed upon
and the different processes are seemed to be improved continuously rather than improving the
knowledge as well as the experts hence, in this manner achieving efficiency becomes highly
difficult.
Problem 2:Lack of knowledge and experts: There existed a lack of knowledge as well as
experts in the given scenario (Hbr.org. 2018). As stated earlier the main stress was laid on the
processes whereas the stress was to be laid on the people and expert knowledge

large variety of locations, there existed a lack of details which would then lead to issues.
Problem 4: People dependency and awareness of the consumers: The level of people
dependence in the organization was considerably high. The different members needed to be more
independent in nature which would then go a long way in assisting them to ensure a better
awareness towards the different customers.

Stress on knowledge rather than processes: One of the major problems as faced by the
organization is their stress which is laid on the processes rather than the experts, hence,

which may take place in achieving the solutions or implementing them is the problem
related to the costs incurred in the training and other related programs which will then
enhance the overall performance of the organization at large.
2. Restraint from the staff: Another barrier which may take place is the restraint received
from the staff members with respect to the changes which are to be implemented in the
organization. The staff members always do not look forward to changing their procedures
and using new systems and with respect to this it can be rightfully stated that the staff
might display restraint and may not be willing to undertake the training provided.

Therefore from the given analysis, it can be rightfully stated that the Mind Tree
organization is a mid-sized Indian IT Firm which is engaged in providing solutions to the
different organizations present. However, they aim to achieve the objective of Knowledge
management and related community practices in their organization which would then not be
possible because of the certain problems being faced by the organization. Hence, this report
discussed the different problems being faced by Mind Tree and has suggested certain solutions
for the same. The relevance of the problem as well as the solutions have also been provided.
Lastly, the barriers which might be faced by the organization in implementing these solutions
have also been stated. If the organization is successfully able to implement these solutions then,
