The five offices mentioned in Ephesians 4:11 include
the Apostles, Prophets, Evangelists, Pastors, and
Teachers still remain active in most of the churches
and communities. For instance, in the local church I
participate embrace the Five-fold Ministry, for it has
created posts for Evangelists, Pastors, and Teachers
who take the community through the word of God.

They also try to relate the word of God with the
current emerging trends in the society. Such teaching
helps in adjusting to the current world.

to help the current generation to relate the word of God
with the emerging trends in the society.
Understanding how to apply the teaching in the events
happening in the society would help in living a healthy
life while avoiding sinful situations.

Concept of Five-fold Ministry
The concept of the Five-fold ministry originated from
the book of Ephesians 4:11. According to the verse,
the five offices that should enable the church to
accomplish the Great Commission and influence the
world include apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors,
and the teachers.
The word in this verse indicates that God is restoring
the apostles and prophet in the current church.

Concept of Five-fold Ministry
It is believed that the apostles and prophets
were to proclaim God’s revelation and preach
the truth that the church needs to thrive and
fulfill the great mission of the Lord by giving
the word of God.
This word of God is given in the bible and the
ongoing role of apostles and prophets is
manifested in the Holy Spirit.

Evangelists
In the current church, some of the main roles of
evangelists to the ministry of God include speaking good
of the stories of Jesus and transformation famous.
The evangelists are regarded as the carriers of the good
news about Jesus and join him in celebrating people’s
transformation.
Another role of the evangelists is to invite people in to the
family of the Lord by making people curios and desire to
know Jesus.

Pastors
They are also referred to as soul healer and their role
is to create a sense of belonging among the followers
of the word. Pastors are expected to make all members
feel comfortable and safe in the ministry.
Pastors are also entrusted to monitoring members
who may have backslide and bring them back to the
Ministry family.
