Executive Summary

Nowadays various ways are adopted by the organizations for globalizing their business and
achieving the long term objectives in today's challenging and competitive world. Various
strategies have been made for attending business goals effectively. This research page is
based on the Latureae case study. Here in this assignment, we are going to discuss primary
and secondary activities of the Latureae Company which is working in health and wellness
for human beings. This company is trying to provide vitamins, herbs, nutrients, and minerals
to the people in a natural way. 2000 was the establishment year of this company. This
company believes that wellness is the key to a bright future. Thus the company is also going
to provide advisory sessions for Australians on health and wellness. This company is going to
manufacture health products that are rich in herbs, nutrients, minerals, and vitamins, etc.

Introduction
This company has been established in 2000. This company mainly deals with health
products for Australian citizens. This company is serving near about 100000 customers per
week. Thus the company manufactures and provides the products to the customers which
had been made by the raw material collected from near about 2000 suppliers. This company
is now focusing on the growth of sales, getting more revenue, increasing the profit and turn
over. It will also try to do cost-cutting in the processes like packaging (Heinrich-Morrison,
2015). This company is interested in implementing the various functions by using agile
methodologies. By using this methodology we can do the updating in our product easily
depending upon the user requirement. The business model for any organization is used to
describe the rationale for the company that how any organization develops, supply and gets
the business values in various ways like economic, cultural, social, etc. Business model
innovation is another name of the process used to do the construction if the business model
and its modifications. This will also include the section of strategies used in business. For
representing the basic structure of the business which can be formal as well as informal are
considered as the term of business model which is broad in range (Bryan, 2019). This range
also includes business purpose; processes include in business and the targeted audience,
strategies in business its infrastructure and various policies which include its culture.

Following is the Overview of Porter’s Value Chain model
List all primary and related sub-activities, the recommended solution
(system/technology) in a table
As the main objective of the company is very clear. The following are the primary activities
that will be taken into considerations by the company for reaching the decided goal
(Fortenberry, 2016).
 Firstly this company needs to collect all the information about Australian health
issues and health policies.
 Then depending on this data, this company needs to do proper planning for
manufacturing the products which provides best nutrients to the Australian citizens.
 After doing all the planning this company needs to think about the supplier of raw
products for preparing the main products. For that this company needs to ask for
quotes from different vendors. And then need to select the appropriate vendor for
the supply of their raw material and need to contact them (Research methodology,
2015).
 Depending on these quotes received by the vendor’s selection will be done by the
purchasing department of this company. Then the purchasing department will
prepare the purchase order and send it to the vendor and one copy of this purchase
order will be sent to the accounting department (Michael, 2011).
 After receiving the purchase order the vendor will supply the required material. After
receiving the material the clerk or responsible person will check all the products if
they are in good condition or not. If all the things are good then it will be stored in
the warehouse for safekeeping. And the invoice will be sent to the accounting
department for payment (BRITTANY, 2019).
 Then the accounting department prepares the check with the name of the vendor
that check is then gets signed from the authority and sends to the vendor.
Following are the primary activities for the above-said company:

Primary Activities Description
Inbound logistics The inbound logistics includes various processes like
transportation, storage of materials, product deliveries, etc in
any company. The inbound activities are related to the
relationship between the suppliers and the company.
Operations Various operations are involved in primary activities like
manufacturing of the product, testing of the product, etc.
Outbound logistics This logistic activity is related to the delivery of products by the
company to its customers. That means how the company is
delivering the products to the end-users (Jerad , 2015).
Marketing and
sales
This activity is very important. If the company will do proper
marketing then the sales of the company will increase (Bryan,
2019).
Services After delivering the products different services should also be
provided by the company to their clients.

Procurement Resources required for business are
described here.
Human Resources and Management The activities like recruitment of employees,
rewarding, motivating peoples etc. Are
included here (Zigya, 2019).
Technology Development Management of information processing are
done here. Development and safeguarding
the knowledge about business is also discuss
in this activity.
Infrastructure Range of support system and its functions
will be discussed here.
1. After receiving all the raw material and finishing the primary activities successfully,
this company will move forward towards the secondary activities.
2. In the secondary activity, the manufacturing of the product and its distribution will
takes place.
3. For manufacturing the product carefully this company needs to find an excellent
manufacturer with a knowledgeable and skilful supervising team.
4. Then this company starts the manufacturing of the product under the supervision of
the experts.
5. After the final product prepared, this product will go for the testing.
6. After testing the product for all quality parameters like taste, hygiene etc it will
proceed for the distribution.
7. Then this product will be distributed to the different distributes for selling.
8. This company will then conduct the health seminars for spreading the awareness
among Australian citizens about being healthy and fit.

Rich picture
A rich picture is nothing but the showcasing of the situation which shows the
important elements and the relationship between them for doing any improvement
if needed in the system. Various elements like texts, icons, and pictures we can use
here in a rich picture for displaying the situation in a graphical way. This shows the
complexity and richness of the situation hence called as rich picture. (Business
Diagrams, 2011)

Agile principles
If any changes are requested by the clients or end-users then this agile methodology
helps the organization to do these dynamic changes with minimum efforts. This
method overcomes the problems arise in traditional waterfall methods used in
project management. This methodology is mainly focused on the relation with the
customer and the negotiation with the customers. Also the feedback from the
customers and their response etc. For doing the modifications in the existing system
are always welcomed in this methodology. It is very important for developing any
software that the project manager must have the knowledge of the developing and
also the knowledge of agile methodologies. This methodology is very much popular
nowadays. (Smartsheet, 2019).
1. The very first agile principle is to provide valuable software products to clients
through early and continuous delivery. This would be the highest priority in this
technology (Huang, 2016).
2. The changes if required even if after a long time of the product delivery then also
it will be welcomed. This principal welcomes the changes required by the clients at
my stage.
3. Delivery of efficiently working software products in a short time.
 This will do cost-cutting by minimizing the resources
 Changes are adopted quickly as it provides flexibility and adaptability.
 This will mainly focused on the efforts and hence get success for sure
(Breivold, 2010)
 This will increase the turnaround time.
 It will do the fault detection very fast
 The development process will be optimized.
 This agile methodology provides a lighter framework.

 This will do the controlling of the project optimally.
 This will do the focusing mainly on the client's needs.
 Feedback frequency and collaboration will be increased.
The primary and secondary activities will be combined in these agile methodologies.
Companies are using the waterfall model for handing various processes like planning,
designing, etc. Here for such phases, we don't need rapid development as they are slow
processes. Planning is one of the slow phases which will focus on the proper documentation
about the development (Stevens, 2009). Hence waterfall method is considered as the better
approach towards project development. As soon as the project starts the development
stage it requires rapid development and also the repetitive changes are required constantly
for software development. Here in this phase the agile methodologies show its importance
and provide excellent results in a short duration of time (Stettina, 2011).
Solution Plan
a. We have to specify whatever we are picking from agile, we need to specify
solution plan (e.g. Why do we think that would be related to the solution and
so on)

KANBAN
This board has been designed for delivering the value products to the clients continuously. This
Kanban board provides visibility. Stages of work can be represented by vertical columns in simple
words we can say that the things which are “To do, Doing and done” are displayed here. The working
structure of the team is represented on board. Work in progress limits are also applied. This will
provide the limitation of time to the particular working stage to be executed. This will be used to
judge how skillful the team members are.
Scrum
The continuous flow will be provided by the kanban board. The incremental delivery which is
recording is the main focus of scrum. Scrum mainly focuses on the important work and it will
eliminate distractions. Time boxing will be done here.

confusion and related risk.
Roles and responsibilities
For the overall project and its delivery, the project manager is responsible. The stakeholders
who are going to support us in the future need to know everything about the project like its
important benefits, budget, etc. All the project team members must also be aware of the
project theme, objective, motive, timeline, etc; Visionary of Business responsible for
ensuring the usefulness or correctness of the solution. Our solution must be approved by
these business Visionaries. Technically correctness of the solution must be ensured by the
technical coordinator.
The Leader of the team is responsible for the entire project to ensure the analysis
procedure. It is central & performs audit & inspection activities.
Sense of responsibility
Business vision insights translate your business vision into action.
It is the responsibility of the business analyst to ensure the profit. It is assessed based on
business and business needs.
For the Project Supervisory Board, it is important to understand the difference between the
expected values and to be aware that the investment in the project is fair or
understandable.
Approval is approved by a corporate sponsor. It is responsible to get the “return on
investment”.

Conclusion
With the intensity of competition and the decline of the market, when many companies
move to work in digital workplaces, mildly limited disadvantages bring many benefits that
require speed and flexibility and productivity. The need for more sophisticated approaches,
so there are different applications in various companies. The advantage that is consistent
and it has the advantage of the workplace model. It shows that consumption is increasing at
a rapid rate across industries worldwide.
