Extended Abstract
Presently data storage and the computation sector is being transformed with the
introduction of cloud computing technology. Cloud computing has been commonly
considered to be the effective delivery of the various services with the help of
internet. These kinds of resources includes the tools as well as the applications such
as the data storage, the databases, the servers, the software as well as the networking.
Rather than keeping the files within any proprietary hard drive or even any local
device of storage, the cloud storage allows in making it plausible for saving them
from any kind of remote database. Till the time any electronic device has been
provided with the access to the internet, it would gain the access to all the data as
well as the software programs for executing it. This report intends to analyse the
effectiveness of the cloud computing technology in the task of the data backup and
the data recovery. The cloud computing models and the services are being
extensively used for the task of recovery and the data backup that is required by
majority of the big companies for ensuring the business in continued even during any

catastrophic event. The cloud computing technology has been considered to be the
most common option for people as well as businesses for various reasons that

efficiency, the security and the performance. The naming has been provided to the
cloud technology as cloud computing due to the fact that it could easily be accessed
from anywhere with the help of the internet technology.
