the managers of certain projects employ for the planning, design, and implementation of the
project [1]. There are various types of methodologies of project management that can be used
to benefit various projects. The most important and common methodology is the agile
methodology. There are also various methodologies other than agile.
The report deals with the support and the advantages that are provided by the methods
of management of projects to the project managers for managing the projects of information
technology and information systems. The report deals with the role of methodologies of
project management in various businesses and contexts of projects. This report also focuses
on the benefits of methodologies of project management and examines the methodologies in
the context of their operations [12]. Improving the performance of information technology
projects and the information system is the top priority of majority of the company.
