1. Download and install:
For this task Ophcrack and john the ripper has been chosen from the table 1 and the
operating system that is used for installing the software is ubuntu which was installed on the
oracle virtual box. For installing the software, terminal is needed to be opened at first. After
opening terminal, the command that is needed to be written is:
“Sudo apt-get update -y” after giving the command the, the password will be required.
After this step, the next command that is needed to be put is:
“sudo apt-get install -y ophcrack”
After giving this command the Ophcrack tool will be automatically installed to the system.

The installation has been done.
Now for installing the tool john the ripper, the command that is needed to be written first in
terminal is:
“sudo apt update”
After giving this command, the password will be required.
