INTRODUCTION
With the evolving time the way of carrying out business operations have definitely changed for
the good. It has been noticed the organisations are well aware and pays much attention to the
values that the employees of the organisation hold. These transformations have helped the
organisation in bringing the technological transformations within the processes of the
organisation. Businesses nowadays have started focusing on the digital collaborations and
technologies which will add much advantage in the company’s future adventures (Al-Musadieq,
M.,and et.al, 2018) . Modern workplaces have been focuses on the elements which helps in
improving the productivity of the employees, the functions of modern workplaces are associated
with the future innovations and competition which the world is likely to encounter. The needs of
the employees as well as of the employers are taken into consideration which helps them in
developing the right policies and strategies for development. With the rising nature of remote
work, modern workplaces have adapted this change and provides the required facilities to their
employees.
MAIN BODY
The structure, culture, people are interconnected and influences the organisational performance
in many a way. Unilever as being a global company believes in having a simplified organisation
structure, the company recently made modifications which has helped the organisation in
developing strategies in simplifying its organisational structure. Now the organisation has
fragmented its operations within 5 groups which covers the whole operations within the
organisation. As no such organisational structure is considered of the top most importance, the
style and the pattern of the organisation solely depends on the mission and the vision of the
organisation. Irrespective of Unilever and other multinational companies, many businesses do
not give much importance to the structure of the business organisation. The structure within an
organisation is responsible for determining the responsibilities and the positions of the
employees which is significantly of much importance as this directly impacts organisational
performance which can't be neglected (Daneshm and nia2019). The structure accounts for the
way the processes within an organisation are being taken out, which also involves the

documentation of the previous operations. Documentation plays a significant role as it helps
businesses in understanding the reason of the downfalls along with the success the company has
experienced. The importance Unilever has given to its organisational structure will bring added
advantages to the company, as the structure of an organisation can impact the on the performance
of the organisational functions. Every change that takes place within an organisation have a
substantial role to play in the organisational performance, as the structure helps in providing the
required clarity to the employees at various level of operations and improves their efficiency. As
it divides the employees within separate teams which helps in developing a sense of ownership
among the employee’s along with the clarity.
The success of business organisations including are directly proportional to the culture the
organisation has adopted for themselves. The companies whose culture is enriching bring much
higher percentage of revenues as compared to the companies who do not practise such kind of
organisational cultures. Regardless of the importance of the organisational culture it is one of the
most neglected factor by the human resources of an organisation (Brinkman and Brandsma,
2020). As being a multinational company the employee base of the organisation is diverse and
needs an organisational culture which brings the sense of quality among them. If the employees
within an organisation are not satisfied with the culture that the company is practising will
definitely be not advantageous for the organisation. As this will result in the declining
performance of the employee’s which significantly impacts the performance of an organisation.
The reason behind the success of the organisation is because of the culture they have adapted for
their employees. Organisational culture helps the organisation in aligning the employees along
with the motive of the organisation, as it helps in motivating the employee’s in showing their full
capabilities. Organisational culture gives the required appreciation to the employees which helps
them in understanding their worth and boosts their morale. With the help of the culture the
management can practise building trust among the employees, which significantly helps in the
attainment of the companies determined goals. Followed by the improved performance of the
employees in varying situation, along with the ways employees reacts to change that an
organisation goes through which is quite certain to happen. It’s the culture of the organisation
which helps employee’s in building the values which helps the employees working together. This
is significant that the organisational performance relies much on the cultural patterns being
adopted by the organisations. Unilever has been to perform well consistently because of the

perform the operations successfully brings recognition within the organisation for the
employees associated with their engagement within their processes which helps them in
enhancing their efficiency. When the employees of an organisation are valued and considered
eual impacts the organisational performance in a positive manner (Heine and Schmitt2019). The
organisations which do not considered their employees works are not able to attain much success
as they are not able to improve their operational performance. The employees need to get the
support they seek for executing the business processes, Unilever has worked consistently to
provide all the resources to their employees which has resulted in the attainment of the
determined results of an organisation. Unilever is currently present in 190 countries the business
operations of the company are stressing and cannot be executed well if the employees of the
organisation are not showing their full efficiency. The rate of the organisations performance is
highly depended on the performance of the employees of an organisation and cannot be
neglected.
Different organisations have adapted different kinds of leadership style which determines the
implication of the structure, and culture within an organisation. Effective leaders have the ability
to employees for executive a operations on the basis which is being desired by the organisation.
Leaders are the ones who sets goals for the individuals within a team and determines ways of

encouraging and motivating the employees. The effectiveness of the leadership style being
adopted by Unilever determines the success of the organisation, as this determines the ways that
will be adopted by the employees from meeting the end goal. With the rising market
competition, the risk factor of the associated with the success of the organisation is also
increasing, the market uncertainties along with the rising competition is one of the major factors
affecting the functioning of the organisation. Organisations are surrounded by risks which the
leaders of the organisations are required to deal with, in this scenarios of the leaders will make
decisions with a risk mentality will definitely affect the leadership within the organisation (Jena,
2020). The management of Unilever is required to handle many external as well as internal
situations along with their repercussions which could have a worsening effect of the performance
of the organisation.
Unilever has adopted a very systematic and structured form of management which helps the
leaders in strategically planning the basis upon which the actions of the company will be taken.
Management within an organisation is impacted by several external as well as internal factors
which could significantly impact the effectiveness an organisation management. Companies are
required to analyse the functions of their competitors which put significant pressure upon the
management as they are the ones who are required to understand the facts affecting the
organisation (Joiner, 2019). Organisations are required to taken the political conditions into
account as they have the potential of impacting the entire business processes of an organisation.
For which the organisation mends their management styles and operations depending on the
factors such factors. Demand and supply within economic environments determines the success
rate of an organisation along with the leadership and the management the company is sticking to,
if the present leadership and management styles are not capable of brining the desired results for
the organisation they need to be changed or moulded in a way which will bring the desired
results within an organisation.
Behavioural management theory helps in understanding the ways in which an individual socially
interacts and helps organisations in understanding the motivations behind the actions associated
with these individuals. This study is feasible with the incorporation of the psychological, social
and anthropological factors, it is a significant study which helps one in understanding the driving
forces of the acts associated with individuals. The behavioural theory is furthermore divided into

theories companies such as Unilever can take great help and develop policies will significantly
the organisation in developing policies for the cross functional team they have. With the help of
these studies management of the employees become a bit feasible as the leaders are now able to
develop strategies, whose basis is the physiological factors which derives the behaviour of the
employees. There exist several factors which impacts the functioning of the behaviour of na
individual, such factors includes physical factors which broadly comprises of age, health,
medications etc. These factors have a major role in the way they respond, as many internal and
external factors varies with the changing environmental factors which needs to be taken into
consideration (Edmond and et.al, 2020). The family conditions of ones have major role to play as
they dominantly determines the way they accept to adapt; in other word the personal factors of
an individual have a much bigger factor to play as they influences ones in all the possible ways.
The behaviour of an employee could also be impacted by office environment which takes
external factors such as the lightening, the pace of noise in the office followed by the
temperature and the way people are treating, which influences one’s behaviour. Unilever with
the help of adopting have worked on improving their employee’s efficiency motivating and
effectively communicating with them. The behaviour of the employees as well as of the leaders
have a major role to play in determining the success of an organisation. Unilever has noticed
through its operations that behavioural management approach is not that effectively on its own
for which the organisation has accompanied this approach with other individual behavioural
approaches which includes the human relationship approach the way of management which is
being followed by mangers for effectively managing their subordinates (Singh2021).
