Design requirements are necessary to develop effective network
designs that are at the same time in accordance with the essential requirements.
The main aim of this paper is redesigning a network that already exists in the
Barranquilla Plaza Hotel and was implemented to execute the process involved in
their business. The network design needs to be replaced by a modern network
system so that it enhances the process involved in the firm’s business.
Barranquilla Plaza Hotel has thought of replacing the existing infrastructure as
they have been facing certain issues with the network infrastructure that exists.
The reframing of the network infrastructure focuses on improvising the existing
design of the network.
User Questionnaire
1) Whether the wifi signal is being provided is appropriate and keeps the
potential to cover the entire room area?
2) Any issues encountered by the users related to buffering in the process while
playing videos?
3) Any issues faced such as frequent call drops in the midst of voice calls and
video calls?
4) Does errors in the network affect the downloading speed?
5) Is the facility of sharing files to various connected devices available?
6) Are latest edition network devices being used in order to provide the wireless
connection to the rooms of the hotels?
7) Is the considered hardware and software in order to design the wireless
networks are of latest version?
Management Questionnaire
1) How many users need to access the network infrastructure on average?
2) Which areas need to be covered via the wireless connection?
3) When was the existing network system implemented by the hotel?
4) What are the security breaches that the company has faced?
