INTRODUCTION
Principle of care is based on idea in which rights of human are protected. These
principles are defining health, social care and behaviour of people which should be used in order
to provide such assistance to individual as in terms of managing their health and care. With the
help of effective principles of care appropriate assistance can be given to individual which may
lead in treating them in significant manner (Papadopoulos, Koulouglioti and Ali, 2018). This
report is summarising the ways and principles which could be used over patients so that process
of effective treatment can be initiated. The background taken under this report is to analyse the
effect of drug use on young people.
MAIN BODY
Assignment 1
a) An outline of the importance of principles of care
For a patient this is imperative to hold such degree of assistance in which they can be
treated with full care and effectiveness so that to provide appropriate treatment so that they can
get well and deal with regular lifestyle. These principles may be regarded as the primal reason in
which patient can deal with severity of their health and accused disease as well. In the context of
young people those are using drugs these principles are holding high degree of importance as
these principles are directly linked with care and treatment and drug user are requiring high care
(Roth and Reichert, 2019). In this regard principles are elaborated as under:
Principle 1: Promoting Effective Communication: This principle is associated with
understanding of how a person is feeling so that understand their response and avoid any type of
misunderstanding (Jones, 2019). People those are linked with social care services may sometime
feel period of stress due to mental illness and by performing communication in appropriate
manner mental health can be promoted so that individual may inhale various aspects of
wellbeing. Principle of communication is holding high degree of significance as this leads the
social care professional to understand needs of patients. Implementation of this principle will
lead in avoiding any confusion and miscommunications which may hamper physical and mental
health of individual. This principle is required to be used by every social and care worker so that
to inbuilt a bridge with peers and provide needed support to individual.

Principle 2: Social inclusion: Principle of social inclusion states that to facilitate such
opportunities in which positive relationship between family and other community can be
established and in this manner social workers are required to exert their contribution within
individual so that life of satisfaction can be lived by them (Sanderson and et. al., 2016). This
principle of care is having high importance in developing such aspects within personal behaviour
in which contribution can be given by social workers in providing overall wellbeing and
recovery of individual. On the other hand this principle of care is associated with individual
wellbeing so when peers support is rendered to carer then overall involvement can be received
by them as well so that to support people and include them socially. Social workers are having
right to get included in such activity in order to develop ways of involvement and to provide care
and assistance to individual which are seeking for this. When social care workers are being
supported by individual then this will lead in developing that time zone in which high recovery
can be inhaled by patients. Implication of this principle is helpful for individual and health care
worker to develop positive relationship between people which boosts individual confidence and
will power to stay healthy.
