INTRODUCTION Human efforts or work currently plays great role within the Tesla, because without effective work of people this company can't achieve high growth in the world. Currently people work is everything for Tesla. Reason is, top-level management is completely has focused on innovation aspect, and without human efforts company will not able to innovate new products and services. That's why work if too effective for this company. This report discusses importance or effectiveness of work in Tesla. Reflection on group work and employment also has been included in this report. PART 1 Organizational Context Currently Tesla is one the most popular vehicle manufacturing companies in the world. Tesla's founder Elon Musk is very hard-working person, and it believes in hiring this people within its company who are very talented and hard worker (Sundqvist, 2018). Mainly this company is manufacture of electric vehicles, so it necessarily needs hi-tech within their daily operations. Currently this company has very effective workforce, because these employees are very skilful in innovating something new. Recently the company has launched its exclusive Cyber-truck, which is completely runs on electricity. This is the major speciality of Tesla that, it only manufactures electric vehicles not fuel based. During its production process, it is highly neededskilledemployeesintheirmanufacturingplantwhosystematicallycompleteits production processes (Howarth, 2016). Currently employees are really like to work in this organization, because its founder Elon Musk is very popular personality. He is inspiration for their employees, means company's workforce get motivated through its founder. Innovation, research and development, hi-fi technology, etc. are some major aspects of Tesla. In this case, HR management of company only give priority to those candidates in its hiring process who have very skilful in innovation, research and development etc. Means, if any person has great innovation skills, then it'll able to work in this organization. Many times top-level management of company provides various training sessions to their existing employees. With the support of these training sessions, employees can easily improve their current workability and work efficiency. With lots of human efforts and hard work, currently company is running its business operations on progressive path. Mission of Tesla 1
The main mission of Tesla is to start the trend of electric vehicles in all around the world. Tesla founder's Elon Musk says, fuel is more costly than electric energy, and we able to produce electricity but not natural resources, because they are limited. According to company, people need to move on from petrol and diesel cars to electric cars. This is necessary to save our precious natural resources (Ball, 2016). The Tesla want to provide the best electric vehicles to people on favourable prices. Its aim is to teach people the value of electric vehicles as well. Core Values of Tesla Teslahasgreatcorevalues,becausethetop-levelmanagementofcompanycan understand the value of people. Currently employees feels valued by management of Tesla, because its management give opportunity them for improving their work efficiency. Company is believe in learning, that's why it has great brand value in the international market. It never gives up when it has failed in any experiment. It is completely technology based company, so it needs to do different experiments on daily for innovating something new. There is “To accelerate the advent of sustainable transport and electric technology” is the slogan of Tesla. In this case, its slogan completely show its vision and values. Company systematically adhere all business laws in their daily operations (Wang and Hung, 2019). The management believes in provide an ethical work place to employee, where they can easily put their huge efforts. The Whole Organization The Rational and Social organization Tesla has very ethical work environment where people or employees are come together for achieving their organizational goals. This company believes in equality and diversity, because it respects the talent of an employee. Currently human work and efforts are everything for thus company. Reason is, these hard-work and efforts are only main factors behind its current high brand image. It always fulfils its corporate social responsibilities (CSR) on time. Many times it runs various social campaigns where it works in social welfare. In its hiring processes, company not has hired people on the basis of their religion, caste, colour, ethnicity etc. Reason is, an employee's personal skills and talent are everything for the company. According to company, team building is a necessary step for making healthy and happy work culture for all employees. Currently work culture of company is too favourableforworkforce,becauseeachemployeeiscurrentlysatisfiedwithcompany's employment policies. Governance or administrative bodies of company has never imposed work pressure on employees. That's why people like to work in this organization. On the other side, company gives opportunities to all employees for improving existing skills and workability. Thereisleadershipanotheraspectwithinthiscompanywhichhelptoemployeesfor understanding “what to do”, “when to do” and “how to do” in the workplace. A leader is guiding, directing, controlling their employees in a teamwork. These all factors are enough to show the effectiveness of Tesla's work culture. Groups and Teams Groups and teams are such workplaces within company where some employees come together for achieving common targets. But there are some difference between group-work and teamwork, because a group is an informal version of teamwork. In a group-work, people are come together on self-choice for working on a same task (Zidane and Olsson, 2017). On the other side, a team is formulated by the top-level management of company for achieving different targets in decided time period. An organization is always wanted to make an effective team within their business environment. In this case, management give this responsibly to a team 3
leader for making this type of teams. Then a leader has chosen different leadership methods or theories like situational leadership, contingency leadership etc. to makes an effective team. A leader uses differenttheoriesof organizational behaviour within the Tesla to positively influence their employees. For example; motivation theory and team development theory etc. These major theories of organizational behaviour are enough to a leader to makes an effective teamwork. The Individual Level The human resource management of company uses various techniques for identifying the performance level of an employee. This management properly analyse major strengths and weaknesses of their each employee (LORIA, 2018). It is necessary step of the management, because company can easily maintain great performance level of an employee with support of this step. Many times top-level management gives rewards and appreciation also to high performers of company. These are major steps which management chooses for systematically managing work level of individual. Motivation and Job design:Motivation and job design two different aspects within company. The management take various steps within company to motivate their employees in workplace. For example; it gives rewards, promotion and appreciation to those employees which puts great efforts in the daily operations. These steps are enough for company to motivate ether employees. On the other side, job design is a major function of HRM, where through this design company can hire skilled and talented employees within business environment. PART 2 Reflection on Group Work There are many methods which can be used to understand the experiences to increase the efficiency. Kolb's reflective learning cycle help the increase the knowledge of individual or group of individual based on their experiences. This reflective learning cycle provides better understanding own self into four stages. Concrete learning, reflective observation, abstract conceptualization and active experimentation. While making this project we were 4 people who competed the projected individually. All the group members were more focussed on improving their personal knowledge and growth. By using this learning model it will help to increase knowledge from experiences effectively. 4
Concrete learning After completion of my group project I leaned that it is very essential for me to have effective understanding and knowledge of leadership styles and theories to attain effective working in group. As it helped me to understand that there is a big difference between a group work and team work. A group is just the collection of people who work individually on their assigned tasks to achieve their objectives. Whereas, team is integration with emotions and skills with the vision and mission of the group to achieve theirs objectives effectively is a high performance team. According toTalman, (2018)team work is very essential in increasing the personal knowledge and experiences which also helps to make effective decision and improve the performance effectively. This is very essential for me to understand that what was my issues while doing the group work and analyse my strengths and weakness to provide an effective change In my personal development plan to achieve high efficiency for the future tasks. I also determined that assigning team roles in teams are very important which helps to reduce disputes and provide better opportunities for team members to become effective in performing their task without any interference. Reflective observation I observed that after we were in the group we started our work without any planning and division on work which impacted the efficiency. This also helped me understand the team theories like Tuckman and Belbin to gain better knowledge in team building. I observed that I lack written communication skills which is impacting my performance in the group work. So I developed some activities which increase my written grammar and knowledge effectively. I also analysed for group productivity we need to improve our communication channel and develop effective team structure which will also improve the perceived values of the group members to convert it into a team. It is also very essential for us to understand each other tough process and that can only be done when we have effective interpersonal skills. At the time of in a group activity were not conducted to increase motivation and improve performance of the members. As we were pseudo group which lack many aspects to become effective. In opinion withReeves, Xyrichis and Zwarenstein, (2018)pseudo team have the opportunity to become potential team if they analyse their issues and ineffective activities. I had experienced many ethical issues while working in a group which impacted my personal development and also reduced efficiency of my group negatively. We analysed that it Is very essential for us to implement behavioural theories to formulate effective motivational theories to achieve high performance in attaining set objects effectively. I have also understood that I need to develop research skills and have effective communication to make potential decision in a group. This also help to improve information of group members to become more effective and gain better opportunities of growth. This will also help to develop common group thinking and support innovative ideas. Training and development with different digital tools provide me with better vision and reduce asch effect from the group effectively. Active experimentation After gaining al the information I am more effective in making decisions and performing group tasks effectively. I will use stages of group formation in first stage we will decide the right team members with effective objectives. Then I will focus formulating structure by assigning different roles and responsibilities to team members which will reduce the disputes. In the third stage with the use of effective vision and cultural value I will integrate the value of members with team objectives. I have also improved the efficiency to make better planning to achieve my objectives with the team effectively. I will become more understanding and support my group member by providing information about importance of self assessment and different skills to increase their personal knowledge apply that in work to increase the potential of the company effectively. PART 3 Personal Reflection on Employment Employment is very essential aspect of any business to attain growth in market and improve the profit margins effectively. I have learned that employment is the key resource which help business to achieve their objectives by performing effective management activities to increase sales and maintain the quality of business organization effectively. It is also very important for person to increase its personal knowledge and personal growth opportunities. In my opinion person which have more experiences and knowledge as an employee also have effective growth opportunity to earn more money and increase their personal satisfaction. I have learned that to become effective in corporate world I have to evaluate my internal strengths and 6
weaknesses to become more efficiency and removing all my weakness through effective theories effectively. As per the view ofBrockbank, McGill and Beech, (2017)High knowledge and skill of employees help organization to develop positive culture to achieve company's objectives and improving the quality of performance. High performance workforce increases the opportunities of business to improve the quality of products and services to increase customer base by making them loyal and increase profitability in the market to attain core competency effectively. This helps the economic growth and improves the standard of living of the people with higher net disposable income. I feel that countries which have highly skilled employees also have more effective GDP and productive industries. According to my experience and knowledge I will first analyse my job opportunity options according to my resume which also help to me to match it with the job description of the company. Apart from the job description I will identify the cultural value of the organization so that I can understand that it can match my vision and mindset or not. I will be more engaged in the organization which have better employment policies and benefits. The organization which has effective and supportive Leaders and management and positive culture is best suited for me. I am more effective and motivated in the organization which have healthy work environment which will also help to increase my communication with other employees and gain better information and experiences from them to make effective decisions for my objectives. Those This organization which are more aware of new employee talent skills and are more active to research and integrate new market trends to provide facilities to employees will motivate me to work there. It is also essential for me to understand all the skills and knowledge which is more effective to attain job opportunities. The organization which have low politics and power culture is highly effective and also has better opportunity to grow with higher job satisfaction of employees. By developing interpersonal skills I will be more effective in understanding emotions of people and supporting them according to their behaviour(Skendall and et.al., 2017). I will develop effective leadership skill and characteristics to influence emotional people to increase their performance and benefit the organization to grow effectively. Social skills have proven to be more effective in achieving objectives with better reward. This also reduces coherent activities and motivate positive behaviour of the employees to increase innovative thinking effectively. I have analysed tat emotion impact the performance of a person in organization this 7
can be both positive and negative emotion depending on the organization culture and policies. Employees which are challenging and accepts challenges is the positive types of emotions of any employees which can increase the potential of company effectively. Iascertainedthatinhassomepositiveandnegativefactorswhichimpactmy performance and reduce my opportunity to grow in my career. I am effective in communicating with other and provide them with clear information which is my strengths. I am ineffective in completing my task due to lack to time management(Li and et.al., 2019). This also reduces my overallqualityandefficiencyintheorganization.Iameffectiveinresearchskillsand interpersonal skills which help me to gain better information from any source and make effective decision in my task. I will use balanced score card and benchmarking method to reduce the weaknesses and increase y potential by various activities effectively. By develop time table and schedule will help to manage time effectively. I will also develop plan and strategies to separate the important work and finish them first. CONCLUSION It can be concluded that work is too effective aspect within the Tesla. Currently many employees are effectively working in this company for achieving its goals. The company has great brand value in global market, because of its employees' hard-work. The management of company always tries to maintain a happy and healthy work culture for employees, because this type of work cultures motivates employees to put huge efforts in workplace. Currently company uses various business theories and strategies for improving workability and work efficiency of their employees. 8
