Introduction
In this competitive environment every individual wants to become independent
and that too in financial terms. Financial in-dependency will be achieved when the
person will be working or having any job. The main aim of doing work is to earn good
money but other than that the other aim is to learn something new(Grills, 2020).
Going outside helps in learning new skills and develops information which will be
important for the individual in their future. Not just this but working in outside
environment people develops their new relations and from this only individuals
develops new ideas. This report will cover different factors which helps the
employees to get motivation and positive and negative factors which employees
experience with their strategies.
What does Motivation Mean?
Motivation is the process which includes some guidance, initiation and this is the only
thing which gives the motivation to every person to work. For doing any work it is
important for the person to identify the need as this is the only way which will help
them in doing work.
Maslow Need Hierarchy model-
 Physiological needs- Physiological needs are related with those need which
involves food, shelter, water which is required by every individual for their
living. This is the most important thing which needs to be satisfied by the
person.
 Safety needs- Safety needs are related to those in which individual needs
safety in regard with financial, family security and other things. They will only
move to further step when such things will get satisfied(Solvang, 2018).
 Social needs- When an individual is working outside then they will require
good friendship, connection with people which will come from society itself.
They will move to further step when they will be getting and developing good
relations in the society.
 Esteem needs- Esteem needs are related with dignity, achievement which is
required by every person. Every individual wants dignity in their life which is
important for every person.

 Self- actualization needs- This is that stage in which the individual is
requires to become that personality which they always wishes for and at the
same time have the potential to achieve it.
Intrinsic motivation- Intrinsic motivation is that motivation which comes from
internally and they don't want extra from outside. In this type of motivation, people do
things because they are interested and they like that thing.
Extrinsic motivation- Extrinsic motivation is that motivation in which people get
motivated because they want to take external rewards which can either include
money, appraisal, discounts or other things(Mullins and Panagopoulos, 2019).
The various factors which motivate employees to work
Salary: It is the most important factor which plays a crucial role for the employees
to work hard. Every person who are working or are looking for the job will first see
that what amount they will be getting for the hard work(Goldstein and Filipe, 2018). If
the salary is paid good enough then the company will be getting good and talented
employees otherwise not. It is the source of providing employee satisfaction in which
people at the workplace will work hard to achieve the objectives.
Promotion: Giving promotions to the employees are the main motivation which
will be motivating employees to work hard. Every employee have some expectation
that they will be getting promotion for their excellent work which helps them to
become motivated(Fossestøl, 2019). Employees require promotions because this is
the stage of growth for that person and for getting that growth employees will do
anything. With the promotion, there is an increment in their salary and individuals
also receive recognition in there workplace. Thus, giving and providing promotions
by the employer to their employees is the important thing.
Work Environment:
Work environment is the most crucial part in every organization which motivates the
employees to come and develop good relations. Work environment is based on the
work culture which needs to be flexible and friendly at the same time. The reason
why work environment needs to be good is that people have to work in that work

place and environment and that must be good so that can survive. Restricted and not
having flexibility creates the difficulty to employee only because they feel restricted to
develop nay new relations with people.
The positive factors employees experience as a result of
their job roles
There are different factors which is experienced by employees and those factors have
been discussed below-
 Friendly co-workers and good work atmosphere- The most important
factor which is required in the job place with which employees feel good.
When the co-employees are supporting and helpful then people feel good
about themselves(Carillon and et. al., 2020). Good work atmosphere is
created by people who are working there which is makes it an important
factor.
 Variety of work- The other factor is providing the employees with different
task wand with different work which makes it more exciting. Doing same type
of work at all time makes it really very boring to do work. This is the main
positive factor which helps the people to stay positive in the work which they
do.
The negative factors employees experience as a result of their
job roles
There are different negative factors which the employees have to experience and
those factors are discussed below-
 Excessive workload- It has been seen that when employees are provided
with workload they started feeling pressurized. This is the reason why working
makes it difficult and they do not focus on good work(Davies, Lockstone-
Binney and Holmes, 2018). This is the negative factor which is seen in most
of the workplace which makes it difficult for the employees to work with
efficiency.
 Work and life balance- This is the main criteria which every employee thrives
for as they will choose that place in which there is work and life balance both.

If such thing is not provided to the employees then they start feeling negative
about the workplace.
 Underpaid- Every person works for the money and if they are giving their full
support for the organisation then they also expect that they are provided with
full money. This the main factor which can make a person negative if they are
not provided with the money (Poulin, 2018). The reason for this is that
providing salary is the only motivation factor and if this will not be given
according to the work then this will be the negative factor for the employees.
Strategies to cope with negative factors employees
experience as a result of their job roles
The different strategies which management of an organisation can implement so as
to reduce the negativity have been mentioned below-
 Diagnosing workplace negativity- For removing the negativity in workplace
it is important that the employer identifies negativity. Diagnosing the
negativity is the main factor which can help the person to reduce that
particular thing(Carillon and et. al., 2020). It is also important to identify those
employees who are facing the negative factors in the workplace so they can
be provided with considerable solutions.
 Fair treatment- It is important for the employer that they are given fair
treatment in the workplace because if any type of partiality exist then
employees will not feel good or will be able to show their full efficiency.
Treating employees fairly is the only option which can help the person to stay
motivated for their job.
 Providing opportunities for growth- In this competitive environment any
individual would like to work in that company which are providing them
opportunity for growth. The organizations provides many growth opportunities
in which they try to grow their employees with the requires skills and
information. Training is the most important thing which the company aims for
and which helps the employee to learn new things.
 Incentives and recognition- If the company is providing employees with
incentives and recognition then they will be motivated to work hard for

achieving the goals. Any organisation which is providing such thing then
there are chances of less negativity.
Conclusion
From the above report it can be concluded that it is important for an
individual to work because this is the only way by which individual can earn money.
Learning new skills and information will help the person to develop new things
which is required in their life. Working is the only factor which can help the person
to develop in themselves the new things which is better for the achievement of their
success.
