This study aims to investigate the impact of monetary and non-monetary rewards on motivation among lower-level employees in selected retail shops. The literature review revealed that classical motivation theories, such as Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs and McClelland's Acquired Needs Theory, and self-determination theory provide insights into the role of rewards in motivating employees. Primary data was collected through surveys and interviews with employees, while secondary data was gathered from existing research studies. Data analysis revealed significant correlations between reward types and employee motivation levels.
