Meaning of Motivation
The term ‘Motivation’ is defined as a desire to act towards a goal. This driving force
stems out from the three major concepts of ‘Hope, Vision and Action’ (Pinder, 2014). It is
one of the most important management tool and an essential leadership role of an
organization.
Motivation as a marketing tool
Motivation is the driving force of an organization. Especially ‘Push Motivation’ is
associated with psychology and consumer behavior (Guttentag et al.,2018). Motivation
encourages the morale of employees and has a direct impact on employee performance and
finally on the overall productivity of an organization. Motivation is thus an important
marketing tool, which also helps in boosting up the marketing team spirit of a company.
Impact of Motivation
Organizations will never be able to attain their desired goals without motivating their
employees. Motivation is that important force which directly has an impact on the human
capitals of an organization. Motivation affects employee performance and job satisfaction
thus improving the productivity of an organization. Motivation affects the behaviour of
