Introduction
Motivation is the word which is derived from the the word motive and it means needs
and desire, wants or drives within the individual. It is the process of stimulating people to
actions to complete the goals and objectives of the company. It is important in every
organization as when the employees will be motivated they will work with the full
dedication and it will also help the company to grow and expand its business and raise
the revenue. This is the basic need for every employee and the managers and the higher
authority people are responsible for this because they are the guiding people and the
people who will motivate the employees and then the employees will be appreciated for
their good performance in the company and when the employee is appreciated, it is a
sense of achievement for the employee
What does Motivation Mean?
Motivation is the act or process for giving someone a reason for doing something and it is
the condition of being eager to act to work. There is need of motivation in every
organization as there is lack of motivation among the employee. Maslow’s hierarchy
theory is the theory of motivation which explains the five need of the employee I the
organization which are discussed above in detail:
Physiological needs: these are the biological needs which are needed for the
survival for example air, water, clothing, shelter, sex and many more, if these needs
are not satisfied in the human body then the functioning will be compromised and
also Maslow considered these needs as the most important need among all the
needs(Sadeghinia and Taleb, 2022).
 Safety needs: when the physiological needs are satisfied then there are the needs
about the security and safety and then this becomes the priority. The employees
want to experience order, predictability, and control in their lives. These needs can
be fulfilled by the family and society. This can be done by the family member through
the emotional support also.
 Love and belonging needs: after both the physiological and safety needs are
satisfied then comes the love and belonging need which includes feeling of human
being and belongingness refers to the human emotional need for interpersonal
relationships, affiliating, connections and being part of a group of people.
 Esteem needs: these are the needs which include having self respect and keeping
dignity and the mastery all independent and it is the desire for the reputation or
respect from the other employees or people around in the organization.

 Self actualization needs: this is the highest level in maslow’s hierarchy and refer to
the realization of employee's own potential and self fulfillment, seeking personal
growth and peak experience. Maslow describes this level as the desire to accomplish
everything that one can do, to become the most that one can be
The various factors which motivate employees to work
Salary: There are some of the factors which motivates but knowing the fact
that in today s time money is the most important aspect in every employee
mind and it is the basic need so that the people can fulfil their need sand
wants and it is all based o how he is getting paid if he will be getting the
salary what he actually deserves then he will be highly motivated and will
work more effectively.
Promotion: With time people get the knowledge of the work and tey are
hoping for the promotion which means that they want to reach to the
next level in the working of the organization and if the employees are
getting the promotions on time and with the good efficiency then they will
feel the appreciation by the company and get more motivated and be the
best with the new duties and new working on the high level(Sun, Bugrov
and Dai, 2022).
Work Environment: It is very important to have the good working
environmental and good relationships of employee and employer and the
relation of employees with the senior authority as many of the people leave
the organization as they have rifts with the managers or any other authority
o it is important to have positive working environment so that employees do
not get this thing in their mind to leave or quit the organization.
The positive factors employees experience as a result of their
job roles
There are some of the positive factors that employees experience on their job role
and they are as follows:
Modern performance management: Employees often feel that the senior authority
people are not appreciating the employees and it is the basic need the of the

employee that he get appreciated for the work he is doing. Also leaders sometimes
miss to acknowledge the work done by the individual and forget to take the frequent
feedback from the employees that are involved in the business. Also it is vital that
employees are highly attracted to the good opportunities and the tasks they are
assigned to do in a particular time span(Panai, Husain, R. and Maupa, 2021).
 Trust in leadership: employees should have the trust in the leader they are
working under, as it is the basic concept of every organization that the
employees do feel insecure and feel that they might get the disadvantage and
someone else will have the bias choice of being and they might end up with
getting demotivated and they will not work with their full efficiency and this will
lead to mismanagement.
To reiterate: It means that the employees should be respected with their point of
views in the working of the company and their ideas must be considered equally
important as the other senior department authorities. The leader should make sure
that he creates good and positive environment for the employees so that, they can
share their thoughts with no hesitation and without facing criticism in the
workplace(Namaziandost and et.al., 2022).
The negative factors employees experience as a result of their
job roles
There are some the negative factors which employees experience in their job roles
and they are as follows:
Chaos: there are so many people in one organization and it is evident that where the
people will be in majority there will be time wastage in talks and gossips which is
very time consuming and it is made clear with the study of gossip that it takes hours
to complete the talks and then work with different thoughts and this can lead the
employees to being inefficient and less intellectual and also it is loss for the
organization(Henning, Dreiskämper and Tietjens, 2022).
 Bad management: when the employee is not motivated and appreciated then
he loses his morale and he starts to feel left out and it leads to mismanagement
of the organization, when the employees will not be having a feeling of trust in
the company then they might don’t work with their full dedication.
 Workplace conflicts: It is very important to have same ideas and goals when
the employees are working on same platform, with conflicts in ideas people
might get offended and then the working of the company is affected. Wit different
thought there are chances of disagreements and opposition of ideas

Strategies to cope with negative factors employees
experience as a result of their job roles
There are some of the strategies which are helpful in coping up with the
negative factors of business and they are useful in every type of organization and
they are as follow:
Control over their job: Provide opportunities for people to make decisions about and control
and manipulate their job. The most common impact of workplace negativity is evident to a manager
or the organization making a decision about a employees work without their point of view. Almost any
decision that does not include the input of the person doing the work is done in a negative
manner(Diamond, Dickenson and Blair, 2022).
 Opportunity to express opinions: Make opportunities available for people to express
their opinion about workplace policies and procedures. Recognize the impact of changes in such
areas as work hours, pay, benefits, assignment of overtime hours, dress codes, office location,
job requirements, and working conditions.
Conclusion
In this respective report, it can be concluded that motivating the employees is very
important and making them feel secure about there jobs is the most demanded
thing in the organization or workplace. And there are some of the positive factors
which employees experience on their jobs and also there are some of the negative
factors which employees do experience while working. Lastly we discussed the
strategies to deal with the negative factors o the company and make the employees
feel secure about their jobs.
