This report discusses the importance of motivation in improving employee efficiency and stability of the workforce. It explores Maslow's Need Hierarchy Theory and Herzberg's Motivation Theory and their advantages and disadvantages for motivating employees at TESCO's Jack Stores. The report concludes that TESCO should use Maslow's Need Hierarchy Theory as it is easy to understand and relatable, and takes into account both interpersonal and intrapersonal variations in human behavior.
