The recent study in the brief is about a high tech company
Motorola, that was known to provide its customers with
satisfactory services back then.
But after the hit of Japanese competitors, it became almost
close to impossible when it came to satisfying the
customers, thus resulting in heavy losses.
This is how the company chose to adopt the six sigma rules
in order to reduce the amount of errors they were making
due to some inefficiency
They followed the four phases of measuring, analysing,
improving, and controlling that helped them in monitoring
their activities to improve their lost long competitive
advantage.

Headquartered in Chicago, the company was founded
in 1928 that became world’s successful car radio
company.
One by one various divisions and devices were being
launched by the company that became the set up point.
It achieved success in the form of customer satisfaction
and transformed themselves into global operating firm.

PROBLEMS IN THE BUSINESS
ACTIVITIES
The market share started declining with the rise of Japanese firms getting more attention in terms of customer
satisfaction.
This is when the sales started declining and that is when the rule of Six sigma were opted for.
The supply chain was not adequate as compared to the previous times and the firm began to loose reputation.
Paying off debts were the only activities carried out in the overall efforts made.
Reduction in the production was reported as there were no picture of achieving success.
