Introduction:
Regional garden Ltd is a medium size organization whose deals with the gardening
industry. They open their large garden once or twice in a year for exhibition and public
inspection. Their main office situated at Bathurst where all the management and monitoring
works are controlled. They have estimated 70 employees who are responsible for managing all
process of the exhibitions and company’s activities. The all have their own laptop or desktop
where they can manage and store all the information. Recently they are facing issues to store and
manage vast information and decided to move their infrastructure to cloud. As their old systems
are getting robust and incapable of process all the raw data. They are considering to automate all
the business process by taking services of cloud service provider to manage and monitor all the
data. After consulting with some experts they are concluded to choose PAAS or IAAS for cloud
based infrastructure.
Section A: Automation Approach
As the technology is emerging in a rapid way, it is changing all the old methods and
techniques. Automation is a suitable example of that as it lessen the labor resources and provide
organizations modified approach. By utilizing automation Regional Garden can transmit and
encode data, letters and worksheet in digital forms. Automation is been essential for Regional
Garden as their business is growing and all of their system is backdated, unable to produce
efficient results required to manage and monitor information and proper execution. There are two
approaches were explained as Record and Playback and data driven frameworks.
Data driven framework

Data driven techniques consists of test scripts that work together with associate data sets
within an organization. When the workflow is tedious it can be suitable to use this framework. It
is especially useful when dealing with a large dataset to efficiently test the applications.
Benefits Disadvantage
By utilizing this approach regional garden can
have this advantages as-
Solid test flow coverage
Re-usability of test scripts
Reproduction test results
There are some certain aspects to watch out
while using this approach as-
Regular maintain needed
For proper implementation a huge cost
investment needed
Record and Playback
It is one of the basic automation approach that delivers long term utility with limited flexibility.
It enables some certain function to track client’s activity and store them so can be accessed at
any time necessary. It is highly appropriate for exploratory testing and automated data entry.
Benefits Disadvantage
It is very suitable approach of automation
cause
Low development cost
Simple design
Effective deployment
There are certain issues Regional Garden can
face for using this approach-
Restricted performance
Functional price
Minimal test flow coverage

Section B: Moving Infrastructure to Cloud
Regional garden has back dated infrastructure and robust systems for that they decided to move
their infrastructure to cloud. That will helps to get ease access over the primary document from
anywhere with automation process. They are considering IAAS and PAAS for moving into
Cloud.
IAAS
Infrastructure as a service is suitable for the scalable resources. It delivers services via
Dashboard and API that allows user to directly access the server and store all information with
high level scalability. IAAS is widely known for flexible networking, storage, automated
deployment services and processing power. Clients can construct virtual data center and access
similar files and technology at same time.
Advantage Disadvantage
Regional garden’s employees can
have full control over the virtual
machine.
Construction is simple and efficient to
implement the service.
No monitoring is essential as service
provider will ensuring proper
management and monitoring.
Employees are unable to control system
processing directly.
It can be very problematic for regional
garden as they have several systems
with different specification.
Integration is not available in IAAS
infrastructure.
Service provider will have full access
over company’s data and activities.

PAAS
Platform as a service provides platform to develop and deploy applications. It allows the
users to access over the service applications that helps the, to focus on more organization’s side
of scalability. It also provides clients accessibility over the server software and underlying server
hardware that helps them to focus on more in company’s side of scalability.
Benefits Issues
Integration of new systems is not an
issue when using PAAS as a cloud
collaboration platform.
Employees have full control over the
data they are sharing or protecting.
It does not deliver much control over
Virtual Machine as IAAS.
The entire platform is shared platform
as several clients can work on
different interface on the same IIS
platform.
Difference
IAAS consist of pre-configured hardware including high level software and operating
systems while PAAS deliver an operating environment with application servers. In IAAS for
extra protection external patches have to add that also comes with high price. While in PAAS no
extra security is needed.

Recommendation
PAAS is highly recommended for regional Garden Ltd. for both cost and work efficiency. It will
be effective to use PAAS a cloud service for providing automation to the staffs and secure data
processing. Storage and server overhead, network bandwidth, software maintains and lower skill
requirement. PAAS can provide greatest flexibility, agility to the development process.

Top of IAAS
Regional garden needs think of some as viewpoints before picking the particulate framework that
not just access to cloud additionally fitting for the SharePoint benefits as their assessed 70
worker has SharePoint office suite introduced in their office work area or PC. This perspectives
to be consider as money saving advantage proportion, and blah among IAAS, PAAS and SAAS.
For getting to "off the rack" SharePoint administrations SAAS is adequate while PAAS gives
adaptability over create applications on SharePoint stage to suit the associations want.
Problems that Regional Gardens may encounter
Most of the PAAS SharePoint deployment are using multi-tenant model that means several
customer can share the same server resources (Turnbull & Samanta, 2013). This could lead to

service provider to manage and monitor all the data. It can be conclude from above deterrence

Subsequent to assessing each framework Platform as a Service is suited the best for Regional
Garden Ltd. in each perspective as it is taken a toll proficient and gives administrations like
