Abstract
The aim of this research proposal is to look into the issue of ethical and moral
standard of the computing professionals. This is significant due to the fact that it number of
ethical breach instances have manifold in the last few years. This has been observed that the
issue has been taken larger shape due to the inefficient standard structure is place. This is also
important to consider the fact that the literature in the issue of professional ethics in
computing has been lacking the understanding of such issues. This research is significant
form the point of view of finding answers to the question of the impact created by these
ethical standards for the professionals and the individuals in general. This paper is expected
to harp on the research by undertaking the qualitative research methodology and it is
expected to be completed within period of 24 weeks.

1. Background
The issue of professional ethic can be referred as the process of personal, organizational
and certain corporate standards maintained by the professionals of the respective fields. This
includes the process of developing relationships with the employers, employees, the users and
services they are entitled to make (Asokan 2017). Computer ethics includes the wide array of
issues of social, political and personal issues. According to the study, it has been observed
that there are certain parameters of computing ethics like honesty, integrity and conscious
choices (Brinkman et al. 2017). There are certain issues associated with ethical consideration
of the professional in computing. This includes the assessment of the risk factors and their
extent; this also includes the consideration of protection of database which might the
individual at a vulnerable position. The responsibilities of these professionals includes issues
like their consumer’s rely on the knowledge created by these people which is one of the key
aspects of testing the parameter of honesty of these professionals (Brinkman et al. 2017).
There have been earlier research that mentions the issue of data breach and data theft in
number of cases where it has been observed that protection of software’s have lacked the
basis infrastructural support. Such issues have created much sensation in the academic field
since it is one of the key aspects of computing ethics. There have also been issues of privacy
threat and copyright issue associated with the working of the professional and it cannot be
denied that that these professionals make positive and negative impact on the lives of people
in different aspects in terms of their life, health and finances (Connolly et al. 2015). It is
interesting to note that the dishonesty, carelessness and lack of integrity in work can lead to
the process of ethical breach for these professional (Asokan 2017). Hence it can be argued
that the rational for the choice of this theory is based on the sensitivity and significance of the
