I am excited to send my application for the Protective Service officer position in Victorian
government. I am writing my interest for PSO. I also included an entire information of my
educational background and work history which is according to the current position. I am
confident that I have an ability to give the best in this job profile. I am a graduate in criminal
justice form Australian university. As I have one-year experience of working as a protector
officer in Australian security agencies so I am looking for a superior position to utilize my skills.
I am strong in decision making and observatory skills. I have an aptitude to stay cool and calm in
emergency cases. I am always aware about my surroundings and also mentally prepare in
handling situations. I am physically fit and strong in dealing any kind of situations. I have good
communication and interpersonal skills that are needed to interact with the people in all kinds of
situations especially in violent ones.
My experience also considers creating and conducting criminal checks. I also completed tactical
training and could use the equipment in an operative manner. I also have a CPI and CPR
certificate to play this job. I am waiting for meeting in person to discuss about this position in
detail.

Question 1: Why do you apply for this job?
Response: The job role of Protective Service Officer is very crucial and
important designation in Victorian government. I would feel honourable if I will be
selected for this opportunity. It has been my dream job to serve nation and people
with my skills and competency. PSO jobs require knowledge and work experience
to serve and make everything secure by providing a safe and sound environment.
Protective Service officers are general commuters and they interact with people to
make sure that they travel with safety. Thus, this requires good communication
skill and strong networking about society I possess both the qualities and thus find
myself compatible for this job. Further, this job offers a good opening of training
and development; as recruiter might give training as similar to a police officer’s
and it will support me to get a chance of being well trained and raise the next step
for police officer’s post.
Lastly, this profile offers variety of interaction as an officer gets a lot of time
walking, meeting new people and interacting with them. PSO gets to meet a lot of
different people from diverse background and culture. I am definitely people
oriented person, so this job works well for me.

Response: There are various protective activities or services that are provided by PSO for
their society with the purpose of keeping them safe.
 Maintaining the security of government identified infrastructure to make it into better
services.

of designating the specified operations.
 Also their role in support for personal protection to society for developing their living
standard.
 Role in the national security is also played by protective service officer.
Child protective activities is also an important area of protective activities. This will lead in
building capacity for education. In this, they analyse the laws related to the Child protection.
Along with this, protection monitoring can also be conducted for determining the contextual
factors. This can be depending on the size of the population, specific operational purpose,
available for monitoring.
For this there are some important factors to be implemented and such as:
