INTRODUCTION Ideal job can be defined as the job that offers opportunity to learn new skills, progress and gives high contribution the the firm or organization to meet it’s objectives. In the report I am going to discuss about my dream job and it’s significance for me. I will explain number of resources that supports me while seeking my dream job. MAINBODY My ideal job My dream job is support worker that encourage me to improve my personality, nature, attitude and skills so that I get this job successfully in a good organization. Support worker is the person who concerns the wellbeing of helpless person and provides. In addition, support workers provide supports to people to live their life independently as much as possible and assist them to reach their potential by practical and emotional support (Antaki and Webb, 2019). The support workers provide emotional and practical support to disabled person and their families who struggle to live independently due to health issue, emotional problem or relationship difficulties. Support worker is not only providing emotional support but also provides care support to individualwhohasphysical,mentalandlearningdisabilities.Therearenumerous responsibilities of a support workers which they provide on the basis of customer or client needs. They help customer or client in that state when they have alcohol addiction. I like this job profile because I want to help other people who needs care, support and direction to live their life independently.Itismydreamjobthatinspiresmetoimprovemypersonalityand communication level so that I easy to interact with disable client and can provide practical and emotional support effectively. Job Description for Support Worker Job Purpose The main purpose of the job is to support, care and influence individuals to live their life independently in daily basis whether it be at home, work, day programmes and education time. The main responsibility of the support worker is to teach people to grow skills and enhance their independence by offering high quality life. Another responsibility of the care workers is to supports client to learn new skills for daily living which boots confidence in client to do something. Supper worker must have effective communication which supports them to encourage client to have cultural experience and removes feeling of social isolation. The major role of the support leader is to help client to make effective decision and choices that supports them to live their life positively (Bellini and et.al., 2020) A good support worker can make independent to a client by making sure them whatever skills they learn that helps them to be important part of their community or society. Support worker helps people to live stay healthy and well as well by: Support worker has responsibility to meet client’s day to day health needs and medical needs. The reason behind is that some clients who are mentally and physically disabled they need care and medical support to stay healthy. Disabled person can stay health when they get personal cares so support worker must perform this responsibility effectively. Supportworkerhasresponsibilitytohelpdisabledlearnerstoorganizeplanand accomplishes their goal over the time. Support worker also plays important responsibility to maintain a safe environment for the client whereas they can learn new skills for long time without any fear or discrimination. They support client or vulnerable person to make positive goals for their life which they can achieve over the time. Support worker provides emotional support to those clients who have learning disabilities that causes they cannot be part of a family. There is various type of supports which gives by support workers that describes as follows: Support worker provides support to children, young people and adults. They support those people who are aged and needs care supports to stay healthy and well. They help children and young people to develop skills which makes them independent to spend their life in dependently and can meet it’s objectives over the time. Even they assist disabled person to go to health appointments i.e. doctor, dentist and podiatrist. Support worker teaches skills to vulnerable person which is important for daily life as well.
Support worker as supporting living Some support workers offer flexible support to the client or vulnerable person, who lives in their home but needs support to take a central role in decision-making process (Kelly, 2017). The main goal of the support worker is to lead the person to use natural support in the society. There are some examples of support which are described as follows: The support worker act as intermediate between people and services because they unable to take decision. So, they need support from the support worker in term of budget adviser and others. Support workers helps individual to build and establish strong social networks so that they can easy to seek suitable housing for living purpose. Even they work in partnership for improving rehibition opportunities. Qualification or experience There is no specific qualification require for being a good support worker but it is essential that the person who wants to get job as support worker, must have interest to help others and posses empathy approach for the people. But social and health care department requires some qualification in a person if they apply for support worker profile. Support worker must have experience and qualification in the human services field.
Support worker have experience people working with intellectual disability (Petrou, Bakker and Bezemer, 2019). Support worker must have experience in community involvement and society networks. Skills A support worker must have good listening skills that helps them to listen client effectively and builds good relation with them effectively. Good leadership skills requires in the support worker because it helps them to understand group of people at the workplace and influences them to give high performance by motivating them effectively. Support worker must have ability to work independently and become part of team. Problem solving skills must have in the support worker because when they have this skill then can easy to resolve client issues quickly (Judd, Dorozenko and Breen, 2017). Time management skills must posses by support worker because it helps them to meet client’s needs at one time. Support worker should have high level patience and emotional intelligence which assist them to understand nature of client about their life and society as well. Support worker must have commitment to respect the rights of people along with intellectual disability and helps to accomplish their ambitions. Additional Pre-Employment Check The support worker must have pre employment check such as: They should have full clean drivers’ licence The support worker must have requirement to pass a policy check to organization satisfaction. Support worker should have requirement to pass health assessment pre-employment check such as hepatitis B and drug screening as well (McCabe, 2017).

Resources that helps to seek job There are various resources i.e. LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, Monster, Indeed and Reed etc. supports to seek job. I use three resources I.e. LinkedIn, Indeed and Twitter while seeking my ideal job. The resources are described as follows: LinkedIn It is a social network for the job seeker professionals because it helps people to find ideal job which they want. The resource is ideal for the home-based business owners, freelancers and telecommuters. This resource is easy to use such as initially have to crate profile in the linkedIn login. Then have to fill some information such as professional profile of skills, experience and others. This resource is quite good because it has ability to see 100 profiles per search and has ability to have three searches. In the resource can includes some additional features such as InMail Credits that allows tom message people who are not connected and premium filters facility also available that makes searching faster and easier. LinkedIn profile is like resume or business card which is used by various organization as marketing tools. The software allows job seeker and employer have an online resume and business card where potential employees, customer and joint ventures can connect directly with LinkedIn profile (Goh, 2018). Job posting also place on the LinkedIn website by members. So, people can seek for the job easily and can connect directly with the employer on the specific website. I use LinkedIn resource to seek my ideal job where initially I create LinkedIn login then fill my skills, qualification and job perspective and write to seek job for support worker. Thus, I take update my profile in the LinkedIn software and I upload my resume as well. Later on, I get lots of message in Gmail account where I check all the message come from LinkedIn software for the job perspective. I want to get ideal job in the top most companies which I find in the LinkedIn. Indeed It is another resource for seeking job where individual can find job by filtering and setting up a job alert. It is less time-consuming app where can quickly apply for job by uploading own indeed resume. The resource is idea for the freshers who seeks for the job and helps to provide better understanding of job which can be fit perfectly. Job seekers an look for jobs by salary, organization, experience level, job title and others (Petrou, Demerouti and Schaufeli,
2018). In this software can set up job alerts to ensure not miss out any job opportunities. I use this resource to seek my ideal job and company as well. Initially I create indeed account without paying any cost and upload my CV. The major advantage of the software is that it allows individual to save jobs which they want to apply later. The CV allows organization to look for candidate every day. Thus, I also get job alert from the indeed about job opportunity. Twitter It is another resource of job searching that is allows individual to seek it’s ideal job effectively. It is not good job seeking resource as compared LinkedIn and Indeed but it provides network from giant business man. By the resource can share things which finds professionally interesting. Job seekers can get information about latest job opening through the resource. Even leader can follow key leader at companies in which job seekers are interested (Pucci, 2017). I use this resource as well get knowledge about latest job opening for the support worker profile. Thus, these resources twitter, LinkedIn and indeed supports me to find my ideal jbo in the top most companies. CONCLUSION The brief study has been provided understanding about ideal job i.e. support worker who provided emotional and practical support to vulnerable person to live independently due to health issue, emotional problem or relationship difficulties.
