The ideal job for me suitable as per my qualifications and studies is the job of HR Officer. It will be apt for the job profile and career skills that I have developed and worked upon along with the training and experience that I possess. MAIN BODY Job Description Job description helps in detailing what will be the job requirements of a person once they are appointed on the designated position (Anand, 2019). The following job description details the duties of an HR Officer: Job Purpose: To provide day to day support for all the human resource activities and ensure that skilled and satisfied workforce is employed in the organisation and also assist them in resolving all the HR related queries. It further extends evaluating the performance of the employees and ascertaining that a right balance of employees is maintained at all times in the organisation. Responsibilities: Ensuring proper and timely recruitment drives. Interviewing the candidates and hiring talented applicants. Developing proper job description along with person specifications. Capability of negotiating salary successfully. Giving a proper induction to the new employees in the organisation. Including their details correctly in the system. Keeping in mind the probationary deadlines of the employees and sending reminders to managers accordingly. Developing proper payroll system and updating it regularly. Addressing the grievances related to HR timely and adequately. Giving proper assistance to the employees whenever they require it. I have uploaded my resume or my professional CV on the different job seeking websites such as LinkedIn, Indeed etc. and I have entered the salary amount that I expect along with my preferred job locations (Nair and Sadasivan, 2019). This facilitates my job process as I am able to accept or reject a job offer that basically meets my criteria i.e. only when the salary offered is within my expected 5
range, the location for the job is suitable and I am being offered a job role that is apt for the qualifications that I have, only then I accept the job and choose to go for the interview. This quickens the pace of me finding the correct job for myself. CONCLUSION The job specification and person specification above helps in concluding that I possess the skills and experience necessary to be appointed as an HR officer and therefore with the current job specification and using correct job finding portals, I can accomplish my goal of becoming HR Officer. 6
