This paper discusses the increase of occult practices and the way paranormal and occultism have normalized in contemporary society. It argues that the rise of occultism has been extensively supported by media, fictional films and television series. The paper also sheds light on the philosophical theory of the modern occult practices and how it has depended on the belief that neither religion nor science can control the truth. Furthermore, the paper discusses the normalization of occultism in contemporary society and how it has primarily relied on the notion that experience has been seen as the path to knowledge and enlightenment.
