INTRODUCTION Culture refers to the norms, internal environment, tradition and beliefs which influences the action and behaviour of the person such as leader to perform the activities of leadership for the achievement of the goals(Adnan, Hay and van Staden, 2018).Leadership refers to the ability of the person to manage, guide, leads as well as motivate employees along with make effective strategies for the overall growth and development of the organisation. This report covers the dimensions of culture and leadership as well as various leadership theories which makes supportive leader. MAINBODY It has been determining that culture has multiple dimension such as primary features of the culture id degree of the focus that is on a person or a group. as per the view point of various author, it has seen that culture as two dimension which is Person task orientation in that cultures of nation and organisations includes people interaction versus emphasising on the tasks. another is Egalitarian Hierarchical refers to the degree that cultures Show hierarchical power vs shared power in the organisations(Gaganis, Pasiouras and Voulgari, 2019). As per the Hofstede which provide model for the culture in which they identified five dimensions such as power, identify, uncertainty, gender as well as time by this leaders and management change the culture in their organisationinordertomeetdesiredgoals(GEERTHOFSTEDE’S:THEDIMENSION PARADIGM, 2022). In the recent times it has been seen the leaders of the company must be supportive to their team members by allowing them to participate in decision making in order to work as a team (Tung and Stahl, 2018). The culture and leadership are interlinked with each other as per the researchandinthebooksoffamousauthorthereisnineculturaldimensions.suchas assertiveness,Futureorientation,Genderegalitarianism,Ingroupcollectivism,human orientation,Institutionalcollectivism,powerdistance,performanceorientationaswellas uncertainty Avoidance by which the leadership is decided in the organisation. There are various different Dimensions of the leadership which are differ, low and high in many countries as per the rules, market conditions, economy, environment,customer demandsand many more. In order to perform the function of leadership with in various dimension the leaders can use various leadership theories and behaviour to make positive culture in their organisation. 1
Thevariousleadershipbehavioursarevaluebasedleadership,teamorientedleadership, participative leadership, human oriented leadership, self-protective leadership and autonomous leadership(Watts, Steele and Den Hartog, 2020). There are various traits and characteristics of the leaders honest, team builder, trustworthy, positive, supportive, communicative, intelligent, coordinative and many more. It modern era the leaders must use participative and team oriented along with values based leadership in order to encourage and motivate employees by behaving like an effective leader in order to meet personal, group as well as company goal(Zhang, Weng and Zhu, 2018). CONCLUSION As per the above presented information, it has been concluded that the leaders must considered the various dimension of the national culture and leadership in order to choose best leadership style in their organisation to accomplish the task in effective manner. 2
