IntroductionProviding health care service to the citizens of the country is one of the main task of thegovernment of the country. For providing better service to the citizens and the patients it isimportant for them to establish a health care centre which would help in providing best service tothose who are in emergency (Lee and et. al., 2016). Hence for fulfilling this purpose the nationalhealth service was developed by the government of the country. This was formed in the year1948 around 40 years ago and is headquartered in Richmond house, London, England. Thedepartment currently holds around 1.4Mn employees and is the subsidiary of department ofhealth and social care. As a senior medical provider in the general medical ward in NHS here thereport contains the discussion on the social,political and the ideological factors which led tointroduction of NHS. Also various reforms that happens in the national health service arediscussed here in the report.Task 11.1 Discussion on the social, political and ideological factors that led to the introduction of NHS.It is seen that the requirement of the health service for the citizens of the country wasdeveloped when firs old age pension act 1908 was developed. It was considered as Britain's firststate pension which was financed through the general taxation. In the controversial novel of theCitadel which was published in the year 1937 had framed a structure of debate where the severeinadequacies in the health care department was introduced. It was seen that national healthservice was one of the main fundamental assumptions which gave the indication for formation ofthe department which would influence national health service. As it is seen that the health policy which is framed today were initiative of public andprivate agency decisions which were taken many years ago. In the year 1848 to 1906 it was seenthat there were the political shift that enabled the decision to create a labour party to joinChurchill conservative (Keehan and et. al., 2015). Also the publication of the Beveridge reporton the social insurance helped in reviewing the ideology for social policy so as to reconstruct thehealth care service department in the country. This would help in betterment of the country as awhole. As the labour government is recognised as the government which helped in creating amodern welfare state.
