NATURE OF HUMAN BEING/PHILOSOPHY
QUESTIONS.
1. Fundamental aspects of wellbeing that encompasses intrinsic
goods with illustration.
Wellbeing reflects the positive outcome that describes apt meaning
to the people and to the entire society. The concept of intrinsic goods is
described relating to the instrumental good (Bhaskar, 2010).It shows
something worthwhile.In simple terms these goods do not serve like what
money does. The purpose of money is to create pleasure. Therefore,
intrinsic goods include all aspects of the well-being of persons.
The following are basic types of intrinsic goods with relevant examples.
(a).Play.
These include all activities which provide adequate opportunity to
exercise necessary skills (Laird, 2014). In most cases, human beings
appreciate the importance of these activities and enjoy for own sake.
They include sports, music, sports such as football and other related
games. The whole concept encompassed in "play" tends to impart new
knowledge to the parties involved.
(b).Knowledge.
This intrinsic good entails information and skills which in most
cases they are accessed through one's experience or education.
Knowledge also includes both practical and theoretical comprehension of
a certain product. Knowledge can be gained in different ways. When we
share our views regarding a certain experience then we tend to impart
knowledge to other people.
(c).Aesthetic experience.
It is referred to as the total experience and enjoyment of beauty.
The aesthetic experience starts in response to the entire work of arts and
aesthetic objects (Laird, 2014).In addition, aesthetic experiences are

complete, the richest and have high experiences. For example,
considering the pleasurable responses with the aesthetic experiences
form an experience that is linked with something special which is about
the objects or events.
(d).Harmony with other people.
This type of intrinsic good describes on friendship and love we have
for other human beings (Wilson, 2012). It explores the idea of a
relationship. It describes the whole concept of social connectedness. This
is to say that the issue of love and intimacy in humans life including the
relationship between parents, family members and from our romantic
partners (Belshaw, 2014).
(e).Intelligent control of one's life.
Refers to the internal peace we have to ourselves. The harmony
created through our emotions, ideas, habits, and actions (Rosenberg,
2018).This describes the ability to act intelligently when accessing the
actual mastery of our actions and how we shape our lives depending on
what we perceive to be right. Exercising our intelligence makes easier to
control our emotions and also build our habits to align with one's dignity.
(f).Life.
Human life comprises these type of intrinsic goods (Belshaw,
2014). One's life is made up of health, vitality, freedom from pain and the
process of coupling which leads to young ones. Life is the fundamental
intrinsic good that will describe human. For example, attaining goals and
objectives gives a sense of direction to human beings.
(g).Religion.
This good describes the relationship between man and God. To
some people, religion is an intrinsic good that almost all humankind
depends. We all believe that we were created in the image of God. This
brings a reality that directs on what we supposed to do so as to honour

our God (Malpas, 2018). Attaining the necessary guidance in accessing
this good builds one's strength in religion.
Intrinsic goods opt to have different features that display uniqueness.
These characteristics include;
Intrinsic goods build on the aspect of fulfillment.They offer services
which aid in satisfying human needs.
Intrinsic goods can neither be bought nor has manufactured. One to work
in order to access any of intrinsic goods. We invest and secure adequate
time to acquire intrinsic goods. For example to in order to get knowledge
then we need to create time and read smart (Cooley, 2017).
There is no competition for accessing intrinsic goods. For instance, if
someone shares an idea then it does not mean he or she has incurred a
loss but in real sense, ones have shared knowledge.
2. Reflecting "The Letter to Almudena."
In the letter, the family is lamenting for losing daughter. Although
the daughter was hand-capped there are those critical issues which
Almudena was in the position to undertake. The family was proud of the
daughter.
Despite the situation of Almudena the family began to notice the
importance of caring for handicapped people in society. This is core
virtue which we learn in NHB. Love and care were key characteristics of
Almudena.They are seen as critical features in NHB which enhances
human dignity. This is to suggest that a human being has to handle and
respect conditions one has despite health variations. Almudena enriched
the entire family and that's why they were happy (Habermas, 2014).
The letter entirely describes love and doing well to others. The process is
important in NHB course since it forms pathways that each human has to
follow. Caring and loving others in society is what God seeks us to do all
the time. Human life is crucial and it's only through love whereby we can
