NCCA Sports Scandal

 In the year 2017, various coaches of NCCA (National
Collegiate Athletic Association) , an agent and a sports
apparel company were found illegally profiting from the
branding opportunities for the young players of basketball.
 Its basic cause is the receipt of huge amount of money by the
association along with the universities from the ‘sports
apparel brands ‘(Rosenberg, 2017) .
 While the student athletics are expected to wear the apparel of
these companies and to play whole heartily for the love of
basketball.
Synopsis of the NCCA Sports scandal

 The scandal occurred:
 When two of the students belonging to the association began
to publicize their entrepreneurial skills publicly .
 Upon this, NCCA threatened them with ineligibility as their
website mentioned that they were both swimmers .
 This shows that NCCA has banned its students from
promoting their skills openly so that it can make money from
their talent instead(Staples, 2018).
