Use only what you need. In the canteen or in the
classrooms or the offices avoid using more than you
actually need to reduce wastage. Waste less water.
Waste less electricity. Recycle things that can be
used again. Recycle bins are installed in all corners
of the campus. Use them diligently. Do not waste
food. Do not waste paper.Staffs and students at the GBS need to go
green. This can be a small initiative that
can have much larger positive impact on
the prospects of a more sustainable,
greener and cleaner world.Set an aim for reducing your personal waste by
atleast 50%

Focus on using sustainable and greener products.
Avoid using plastic products. Plastics do not degrade
and keep on polluting the environment for a long time.
The staffs and students are encouraged to use more
sustainable products inside the campuses like paper or
bio-degradable alternatives to plastic. The institution
will help students and staffs to get these products

SUSTAINABLE
PRODUCTS
IntroductionGreen initiatives are spreading at a fast rate across various campuses across the globe.
Colleges are being provided green initiative awards across the world for their initiatives
to tackle the damages to the environment. Some colleges have started replacing plastic
canteen utensils to utensils made of bio-degradable and greener products such as
potato starch. Other colleges and institutions are arranging eco-trips to various places to
improve the knowledge of the students about environmental sustainability. As
educational institutions colleges have greater roles to play towards enhancing the green
performance of the staffs and students.
Plant Trees across the campus: Students and staffs will be initiated
by the special green teams to make the campus greener. All
Students and Staff members are encouraged to join this and other
related green initiatives that will take place throughout the year.
