INTRODUCTION
Tour is the sector in which people travel from one place to another. There are different
places in world which are famous for their beauty and glory. These places are helpful in
providing revenue to country. There are possibilities that due to change in cultural value of these
places it gives negative impact in front of world's economy (Andersson and Lundberg, 2013
pp.99-109). It is essential that government has to perform task in way which is bes and effective.
There is different department in UK which deals with tourist destination. In this report there is
discussion about Barcelona and Thailand and its negative impact of tourist places. People prefer
to visit these places but due to change in environmental modifications, these places become
gradually out of tourist destination.
MAIN BODY
Tour sector is one of the important unit of society. There are different strategies framed
by government for upliftment so society so tourist get good image from destinations. There are
many places which are famous to visit in Barcelona such as Magic Fountain show, Las Ramblas
Street, Barrio Gotico, etc. and in Thailand also such as Railay Beach, Koh Phi Phi, The Grand
palace, etc. There are many factors which affect business preferences to these places. People
visit different destinations as per their choice. It is essential to give preference to political and
social factors of native and new places (Ballantyne, Packer and Sutherland, 2011 pp.770-779).
These places are famous for some qualities which attract person to visit. Thailand is the country
which is known as jewel of South-east Asia. Beaches are famous for their rock climbing, clear
blue water, etc. Every coin has two faces, hence tourist destinations also have negative factors
which affects there business in negative manner. There must be some strategies framed by
government to come with new and innovative plans so can be effective and helps in keeping
same image in market. There are possibilities that negative effects are not over come then there
are possibilities that these places can become out of run and it affects economy of company as
well. There is difference in cultural vale of people so there is difference in customer prefer as
well (WELCOME TO BARCELONA, 2018).
Negative impact of Barcelona
Barcelona is the city of Spain, which is famous for its art and architecture. This is the
second largest city of Spain (Boley and et. al., 2014 pp.33-50). There are many factors which
affect tourism business of Barcelona. There are various negative points also which affect visitor's

image about city. It is essential that company must come with new and innovative manner to
attract and more visitors. To person this they can contract with different tours and traveller
agencies which help them to improve condition of company. There are some taxes which
increases due to increase in crowd at places . So to control crowd taxes are increased, this has
impact on business also and GDP of country reduced. Some of the factors which affect business
of tourism are discussed under-
Cultural difference- as there is difference in cultural of people, so there is difference in
their thought as well (Boniface and Cooper, 2009). They want to promote their tradition, this
sounds to be confusing for visitor. As there is diversification so it affects image of country in
negative way. There are possibilities that due to diversity people may give wrong views related
to others so this sounds to be ineffective for cultural association among people. This is the reason
which may create confusion in the mind of visitors. There is disputes in people of different
religion so they can not enjoy places.
Inflation fluctuation- There is fluctuation in currency rate of Thailand, which affects
tourism business alot. People visit places but they expect that there must be some financial
stability, so they don't face problem related to residence and food. They also want to shop but
due to this factor they cannot perform shopping in effective manner. This is the factor which is
important and essential for visitor's need. When there is change in policies of government then
also inflation rate get affected and there are possibilities that visitor may not like to spend money
at such tourist places (Chuang, 2010 pp.1313-1323).
Drug business by local vendors- Drug business is most common in Barcelona. There is
impact on tourist also. Local vendors force them to purchase. There are sometimes misbehave
with tourist. This gives bad impact in mind of visitors. Sometimes this business is illegal so
government might have loss of revenue which affects image of country in adverse manner. This
also affects cleanliness factor of Barcelona. After drunk people become carefree about it.
Theft and crowd- This is the main problems associated with native place of Barcelona.
Places of Barcelona are very crowdy which might affect tourist preference. Due to crowd there
are many problems associated with theft, so this creates problem for the people who visit
Barcelona for short period of span. There are theft of passport, purse, camera, etc. this may affect
mood of visitors so they may not prefer Barcelona as good place.

Deterioration in water and air quality- Water and air are two important components to
live. These two are adversely affected due to change in climatic factors. There are possibilities
that due to change in environmental factors there is impact on water and air. There are some
beaches Barcelona, so people do not prefer to visit it. But it is essential for them to perform
activities which reduces the negative impact of it. This is major drawback that people do not
prefer to visit Barcelona (Coria and Calfucura, 2012 pp.47-55).

policies for the upliftment of tourist industry. There must be main focus on improving condition
of places so same image can be get from it. There are many places which is regularly visited by
people so there are possibilities that they may get erected due to change to government
ignorance. So this affect prefer of people to visit place. Places become effective due to change in
political and environmental reasons. There is change in climatic factor which affect look of
places.
Negative impact on Thailand
Thailand is initially known by the name of Siam. This is the South-east country famous
for beaches, royal palaces, temples, etc. defining Buddha. Bangkok, Pattaya, Vietnam, etc. are
some cities which are centre of attraction for visitors. There are many problems with the place of
Thailand which act as negative points for tourism company (Hall, 2010 pp.131-143). There are
possibilities that due to these factors place can become uninterested. This affect government
revenue also and there are possibilities of customer preference to visit. Some of the reasons are
discussed below-
Noise pollution- This is the main reason people do not prefer to visit and hence there is
problem to native people also. There are chances of some health issues related to it, so it affects
tourist business. There are many international flights which are hindering business of tourism,
there are possibilities that due to change in travel business there must be some approaches which
can be used by government to reduce noise pollution. There is voice of aeroplanes, and other
noisy things which affect tourist in negative manner.
Changes in culture- People residing in Thailand have different cultural values, which
shows diversification in country. Sometimes this thing is not good and creates impact on
travelling business (Juvan and Dolnicar, 2014 pp.76-95). There are possibilities that tourist can
not understand the relevance of place and then they does not go with good image in mind. It is

essential that government must put effort to show good image in the mind of external parties.
This helps to enhance business of travel and tourism. This is one biggest problem which affect
tourism business of Thailand.
Impact on beaches Koh Phangan: Koh Phangan is various for full moon parties. So
there is possibilities of different factors which may affect this party. People have different views
about such party and it is essential that government must care take of beach so natural beauty
does not get affected. There are many changes which might change perception of visitors and
there are different policies which can be used by political parties which help in keeping these
places clean and has impact on business (Lee, 2013 pp.37-46). Apart from full moon night there
might be proper cleanliness at sea area so visitors can achieve targets with full efficiency. People
residing at these places has to keep this factor in mind.
Use of animals for tourist entertainment- Animal shows, circus, etc. are some famous
shows which are effective in Thailand. Local people use animals to entertain people but it is not
possible to do so, there are possibilities that due to change in climatic factors animal also feel
change. There is effect of their age on performance, s master of circus mistreat them. This gives
wrong image to visitors and there is change in craze of these circus. This affects there revenue in
negative manner. Some master keep animals in chain for 23 hours per day. They train them in
bad manner which affect their performance. There are possibilities that due to some mistreat
animals might become endangered and it affects natural creatures of society. There are changes
tourist demands by analysing this, it is advisable that animal must not be tortured.
Government uninterested- There is important role of government to enhance tourist
business. In Thailand government does not take care of guest and hence they do not go with good
image in mind. There are possibilities that liberal arts may get affected due to regular visit and
hence there is requirement of renovation (Töglhofer, Eigner and Prettenthaler, 2011 pp.1-14). It
is essential that company has to perform activities which are important to motivate tourist trade.
There are different approaches which can be used by government at the time of season of
foreigner. It is essential that government must have some norms and rules which provide safety

involved such as prostitute business, sex business which affect cultural value of visitors. These
factors are difficult to understand and there is need of some or other policies through which it
can be reduced. There are different factors which might affect tourist business. It is essential that
government must give emphasise on these factors, so tourists business does not get effected. This
factor may create bad image in people as there are different purpose behind visiting Thailand.
This is one of the major problem due to which image of country is affecting and people do not
prefer to visit Thailand.
RECOMMENDATION
From the above discussion discussion it is clear that there is need of proper planning by
government so corrective measures can be taken to adopt better results. Tourist is the sectors
which is most effective and helpful in enhancing growth of company. It is essential that
government must frame policies in which there is involvement of people of Barcelona and
Thailand. As they are the source which interact with tourist not government. There must be
provision of some relaxation to tourist so they can enjoy different places and it gives image in
the mind of tourist. Tourist are the people who can give best feedback related to place so it is
essential to take feedback from them. From the above discussion it is clear a that framing
policies does not work so there is need of cooperation from local residing people as well. There
must be some motivational approaches by local governmental parties as well.
CONCLUSION
This discussion shows that sometime due to visitor's activity these places are not tourist
favourite places. There must be governmental policies to take care of these places so people can
know about pros and cons. This affects image of country in adverse manner. There are
possibilities that due to change in social and cultural value which can affect tourist places. There
must be some policies which affect position of company in tourist sector. There are di9fferent
factors which are associated with change in climatic factor and tourist preference.
