The major area wherein I had to implement the negotiation skills refer to the situations of
maintaining a proper communication with my peer group. The proper communication among the
peer group has helped me learn the various ways in which individuals should be approached and
communicated with in order to convince them of the issues that are highlighted in several
situations. One such situation involved the completion of a project that we were assigned during
our high school days. The activity involved the enactment of a play that was composed by an
Elizabethan era. The involvement of the several people within the activity had led to the
requirement of the negotiation skills on the part of the participants as well. The major negotiation
skills that were required in this situation refers to the discussion among the participants regarding
the roles that they would be assigned in the play as well as the integration among the participants
of the play. The proper negotiation abilities had helped me in understanding the importance of
the effective communication among the participants thereby leading to the proper execution of
the play.

The second incident that required me to implement the negotiation activities highlighted
the skill of listening that is helpful in the understanding of the viewpoints that are demonstrated
by the other members of the team. The skill of listening to the opinions and the viewpoints of the
other members of the team has helped me in the understanding of the views and the opinions as
have been presented by the concerned team members. The skill of listening to the viewpoints of
the other members of the team would help me in viewing the scenario from their point of view as
well. I had faced a similar situation during my study at the college. In this situation we were
assigned to a group in order to complete a project that involved the contribution of all the
