NETWORK FORENSICS AND COMMUNICATION OF DATA1
Executive Summary:
The purpose of this report is to analyze a network of SellAll that has slow
traffic, performance issue(slow connections and slow file transfer) which is
becoming a problem to the employees of SellAll because they often have to get
access to these files. The packet transfer file (SellAll.pcapng) obtained from the
SellAll will enable the analysis to trace the core problem at the OSI model Level.
This report consists of the OSI layers analysis and the problems associated with the
layers of the model which will enable the firm to get to the core of the slow traffic
network and get rid of it. The packet analyzer used in this scenario is Wireshark.
This report presents an explanation that is detailed of the Open Systems
Interconnection layers and all the phases in network performance-related issues
and troubleshooting the same. It also discusses the performance of the network and
the issues the employees of SellAll are experiencing with appropriate charts by the
packets analysis done.

NETWORK FORENSICS AND COMMUNICATION OF DATA3
Introduction:
OSI (Open Systems Interconnection) Model represents the communication of
the network of interconnections that is used by systems to communicate with other
structure. The OSI model comprises of Seven Layers that is a representation of the
layers that focuses on the collective services based on the layers below as well as
layers above, OSI layers emphasizes on the logical networking that shows the
transfer of computer packets with the help of different layer
protocols(Zimmermann, Hubert 2013). The seven layers of OSI model are as
follows; Application Layer, Presentation Layer, Transport layer, session
layer,Network Layer, Physical Layer and Data-Link-Layer.
Here is a diagrammatic representation of the OSI model Layers:
