Summary
According to the researches that have been conducted thus far, network design,
routing and security and VLANs play an important role in translating to the
performance of network implementations across several organizations. The
report talks about such a network being proposed for the company Mr Telco.
First the report discusses the project scope and requirements as derived from
the network operation specifications obtained during the site visit. Then the
network design is presented and the gets discussed according to company
requirements. Then the IP addressing table for the different network get
provided. After this the routing protocol and access restrictions through ACL
commands are mentioned. Then after presenting the timeline and budgeting the
report ends with concluding notes.

Introduction
The following report tries present the role that network design, routing and
security and VLANs play in translating to the performance of network
implementations across several organizations. This report talks about such a
network being proposed for the company Mr Telco. The report begins by
discussing the project scope and requirements as derived from the network
operation specifications obtained during the site visit. Then the network design is
presented and the gets discussed according to company requirements. Then the
IP addressing table for the different network get provided. After this the routing
protocol and access restrictions through ACL commands are mentioned. Then
after presenting the timeline and budgeting the report ends with conclusions.
Project Scope and Requirements
The network upgrade of Mr Telco is to include both a wired and wireless network
infrastructure.
The wireless access points are supposed to serve a range of smart devices being
used within the organization.
These wired and wireless connections of the network is to serve the workstations
and smart devices of workplace as well as the production line.
The devices of the workplace should not be able to communicate with devices of
the production line
The access points should have routing capability of their WLAN networks.
The production line should be using a dedicated server.

The above screenshot shows the network infrastructure design proposed
for Mr Telco. This network diagram shows how Mr Telco obtains Internet access
from the Internet Service Provider or ISP and conveys the connection to the
networks it serve as well as other networks through three other routers. Out of
the four routers, three are used for providing connections to various departments
in the workplace. The fourth router is responsible for serving the workstations,
server and automated devices of the production line. Each of the routers provide
connections through a specified VLAN. The network connections get secured
through access control list or ACL commands which blocks other network
segments from accessing the devices of the production line.
