INTRODUCTION Information Technology (IT) can be described as use of any computers or other physical devices used to create, store, secure, exchange and process all forms of electronic data. It has made the business easy to operate in any part of the world. It provides a platform were there is free flow of of transactions at global level. Hilton Group was founded around 99 years ago. This report includes use of IT in business leads to success air failure. Also, highlights on different typesof networking technologiesused in business. Additionally,socialand ethicalissues associated with technology is also discussed. Whereas, role of information technology in management is also highlighted in the report (Andrade and Doolin, 2016). Hilton Group is an American multinational hospitality company which franchise and manages a broad portfolio of resorts and hotels across the globe. Hotel was founded by Conrad Hilton in the year 1919. In current times firm is led by Christopher J. Nassetta. Here, are some of the subsidiaries given by the company to it's customers are, double Tree, Hilton Hotels and resort etc. Information technology has greatly affected Hilton group worldwide. It helped the business to sustain in the competitive market as well helped to bind loyal customers towards the service. The role of information technology in terms of success are explained below: Management Information Systems:Hilton group uses MIS tools by which data can be accessed and it summarize information to support decision making tasks in an organization. It helps the manager of the hotel to access data anytime at any place for quick decision making which helps the business to grow in the competitive market. Online Bookings: Information technology has open the door of online booking facilities in the business. Hilton group uses this to attract customers and the chances of switching to other company decrease. It also helps the firm to increase sales volume of the services and is able to set standards for other businesses (Avgerou and Walsham, 2017). An enhanced guest experience in hotels:By the use of Information technology Hilton Group can grab the attention of the potential customers from the time they visited the firms website. It helps the business to pull targeted customers towards the service as well as consumers can compare prices, facilities, etc. with other hotels. Many of the organizations are using 24/7 AI powered chatbot to raise the direct booking on websites. It will help the firm to generate profits at a large scale. In room technology:Customers carries numerous electronic devices while visiting hotels. Hilton provides hotel web applications to loyal customers so that they can access room services, near by shopping stores, restaurants, transportation facilities etc. It creates positive sign in the eyes of the customers. But due to the neck to neck competition it's very difficult to satisfy consumers regarding prices, accommodation,facilities, amenities etc. in the marketplace. Improper marketing efforts:It has been noticed that many of the hotel industry still uses traditional parties to capture market space outline. Firm offers the same services to the customers again and again which many times creates negative sign in their minds . They should change this strategy to satisfy customers.Hilton group has wider operations and is not able to adopt changes frequently which is indirectly affecting their market ratio. Due to which brand recognition is affected at a large scale.Hotel industry need to use more of modern technology like, social media platforms, digital marketing tools to reach out to their potential customers. workload and raise more use of ROI in the market. So that firm can overcome from social issues in the market (Gelenb and Caseau, 2015). High service rate:Hilton is a leading top hotel industry in the global market. The prices of the services should be affordable to the customers so that they make up mind to visit it again and again. The rates or prices of the facilities should match then only customers can be bind for longer time duration. Hilton take care of all the this to bit it's competitors in the competitive market.Company brand image can be raised in the eyes of the customers by not charging high tax rates, commissions etc. Ethical issues can be stated as process of making moral decisions regarding individual and their interactions in community or society while making efforts to safeguard or protect the rights and welfare of those same individuals. The main cause of raising ethical issues in a business operations are integrity, trust, fairness, honesty. Ethical issues faced by Hilton group are discussed as follows: Trustworthiness: Hilton group need to more build trust and faith regarding services and brand in the eyes of the customers so that customer base can be raised in the market place. Firm tries to make certain strategies to build trust among customers so that business can sustain for longer time duration.
