Summary
The purpose of this report is to use protocol analysers to obtain information about the network
based on the type of packets and protocols being investigated. First the report investigates the url
going by http://gaia.cs.umass.edu/wireshark-labs/INTRO-wireshark-file1.html and then lists
the three key protocols used in facilitating the communication. Along with that, the time it
takes to receive HTTP OK is also given and the time field is displayed in time to day format.
In answering this, the appropriate screenshots are also provided as well as IP address of
website and that of client. Going forward the report fetches the Load Distribution, throughput
graph, time sequence graphs (Stevens and tcptrace), flow graph and windows scaling graph
after capturing the packets of the three websites, - https://www.sbs.com.au/news/,
https://www.amazon.com.au and http://howeverythingworks.org/. Analysis of these websites
are done on devices connected to the university network. Thereafter the report proceeds to
investigate the live streaming delivery of audio over TCP by listening to live internet sourced
radio and the packets are captured. For this audio streaming websites are chased with devices
connected to the home network. The website chosen is http://www.radioau.net/ and the
analysis incudes investigation with TCP stream graphs and TCP sequence graphs.

The following is the packet capture and analysis of the URL
http://gaia.cs.umass.edu/wireshark-labs/INTRO-wireshark-file1.html. Here the three major
protocols used are getting identified. Also mentioned is the time taken to obtain HTTP OK.
Then the Time field is formatted to time of day.
As per the above diagram, the packets get listed by the protocol analyser Wireshark
when chasing websites and urls. The duration of packet transfers are mentioned in the time
field. Also given are source and destination IP addresses.

Three key protocols to have been used in ensuring the communication are TLSv1.2, TCP and UDP
protocols.
