PROPOSED CLASSROOM FOR ECE
See attached pdf, this drawing has been done by AutoCAD
The class is built for children of the ages between of the ages between 3 to 5-year-old
learners. So, the following are in the classroom that helps support the young learners, in both
psychologically and mentally. The idea behind the design is an all-inclusive premise, in that
there are places that represent almost all that children would need (Bucholz & Sheffler,
2009). There’s a place for drama and play, for those children who would want to develop an
interest in acting and singing. There’s a place for reading, for general reading, and connecting
with pictures. This is majorly for those who would want to read. Next to the washrooms,
there is a place for playing with toys and building blocks, like Lego etc. This let children
create what they can see in their immediate environment.
At the drama and play area, there are storage facilities, that keep balls and other sport’s
materials. There is a place for creative arts, this is where the children can pin their work of art
for their parents to view, when they visit school while checking on their progress. One

important room is the washroom, which have been located close to the sleeping area. A
child’s sleep is very important, there’s a sleeping area, where there are baby cots. Lastly, the
teachers have a place where they can welcome the children as they get in the class, and
teachers have a place where they can sit, mark what the children have done, and store their
materials. Parents or guardians have a place where they can wait to pick their children if they
come before the time for going home.
This design meets quality, since it is an all-inclusive, since children of the said age group
have a short concentration time (Stephen, 2015), they can acclimatise to this place very
easily. The partitioning walls are going to be short, the ones partitioning the reading areas,
and play area, this helps in easy monitoring of the children.
