INTRODUCTION
In the functioning of a business entity it is very much important to focus on recruitment
based practices in order to provide right type of employees to the company (Albert, 2019). The
recruitment process in a company is performed by human resource management and also it helps
in systematic development of recruitment process. Recruitment and selection based practices
helps a company to hire skilled and professional employees to the organisation. Many companies
in the international and national marketplace have effective recruitment and selection department
which helps in overall growth. In this presentation the following things are covered description
of job, description of business, person specification and advertisement of a job. This project also
covers key employment legislation which are helpful in making a business legal and ethical.

MAIN BODY
Description of business
In this presentation, example of New London Bakery is taken into consideration which is
situated in the heart of London City. The bakery performs key operations related to
manufacturing items and also provides home delivery of different items and snacks. The New
London Bakery is located near Westminster and its liked by most of the customers. Target
customers of New London Bakery are children and youth which are satisfied by providing key
products with quality. All major companies in the international and national marketplace focus
on development of operations by performing activities and functions on the basis of market
demand and trends. In the London, there are various bakeries which are giving a tough
competition to New London Bakery.
In the New London Bakery, there are main 3 Chefs, 2 cleaning staff and major 4
subordinate worker, who support key functions of the company. The bakery also follows
employment legislation and follow a major decision-making approach which is helpful in
formulating key decisions of the organisations (Jeske, and Shultz, 2016). New London Bakery
follows functional organisational structure in order to perform effective decision-making related
to a company. The New London Bakery is now having vacancy of a Head chef, who will be able
to prepare major bakery items and manage all the functions related to kitchen department.
Job Description
Title of the job: Head Chef
Scope of Job and main purpose: The main reason behind hiring of the Head Chef is to perform
preparation of bakery items with involvement of total quality management. Another major
purpose of this job is to hire a candidate who will hold responsibility of maintaining whole
kitchen department and its members.
Location of Job: Westminster, London.
Position in the business: The head chef will hold main position in the business and will handle
all operations with effectiveness and efficiency. The Head Chef of New London Bakery will be
also hold supervisory post in order to manage and control kitchen department based operations.
Will report to: Manager of New London Bakery
